Bobbin Head

Raghunath Mohan Kumar A great place for a picnic. There are a lot of spots to sit and place for everyone to play near the lake. There is pedal boat and kayaks available for rent. It is an excellent place. There is an entry fee to the national park. But that process is very much justified. It is well maintained and very neat. Adding photos. ❤️

michael zhang Attend an event which introduced the history of the famous Hornsby water sculpture. Had a visit afterwards around this tiny local museum. Hopefully more and more local people come for a visit

Ginger Meggs Park

Syed Daniyal Haider Nice little place. Great for a quick photo if you need green backgrounds. There is a small waterway close by and a trial too. Please note dogs are allowed here so sometimes there will be a few in the evening.

Fishponds

Usher Nic (Tui) Large boulders worn by water into fantastic shapes. Climb on top to meditate or eat lunch. A sandy beach is minute or two downstream. Always cool in the heat. Sheltered from wind. Water quality is not good enough to swim but the water is clear even after rain. Plentiful ferns, flowers and birds. Few weeds. Very little rubbish.

Kenley Park

H Kitty (themangopudding) Had no idea there was a museum here! Great collection of old things and interesting history on Hornsby and life in the 1930s to 1940s

Reddy Park

Marcie B My great grandfather (maternal) bequeathed the land for this beautiful park to the people of Hornsby with the proviso that the trees never be cut down. I live interstate but try and visit every time I’m in Sydney.

Invitation to Connect Mural

Sean Nairn Large mural / sculpture at the new western entrance to Waitara station. It comprises abstract representations of local native plants and flowers against a backdrop of wavy lines that invoke the numerous creeks and waterways in this part of northern Sydney. Easy to view as you walk into the station from the street.
