She has over the past 10 weeks cut my hair to quite a stylish cut and has helped nourish my hair with some in-salon treatments, and also a take home treatment. She was so generous and gave us both a FREE haircut, wash, blow dry and straightening of our hair. We have just escaped DV and to be treated like this was a dream for us both as we couldn’t afford this. Siobhan Hunt My sister and I went here for the first time last weekend, as we wanted to try somewhere new in the area and Carter Co did not disappoint. The girls provided tea/coffee with a biscuit on arrival, gave us a really in depth hair consult to really understand what we were after and exceeded our expectations. Our colour, cut and style done by Jess was one of the best hair transformations we both have had in a very long time and we left having a massive confidence boost. We found our new fav local hairdresser! Would definitely recommend to try it out!

Laura M Avoid. Had a full head of foils and a style cut. It cost an obscene amount of money for someone with such little experience. A few days later I washed and straightened my hair and was able to see the complete botched job done on my hair. My hair was hacked at and the colour was horrendous and unblended with harsh lines. Contacted salon and was offered a partial refund. Would not recommend and would never go back Went to another hairdressing salon to have it fixed and they couldn’t believe how bad it was! Reply says they don’t have me in the system. Hilarious- because Milly refunded me after botching my hair- also video of my hair is still on your Instagram? Please don’t lie!

Milly is a fabulous hairdresser, who is welcoming and bubbly by nature, and the most down to earth person to chat to. I am so incredibly happy with my hair - looks and feels healthy and exactly how I wanted it thanks to Milly’s great customer service and hard work ❤️ The rest of the staff is equally lovely, and friendly. The overall experience was great. Can’t wait to be back.

Paige Unitt Update- After a phone call with Milly, I was sent some product which after I said I didn’t post my review to try and get free stuff out of them she insisted and I said yes and I am thankful for it. She did also offer to fix the colour again but as stated in the owner response I did decline as my hair is extremely damaged from the service and won’t survive another lightening. I am seeing a lot of really good reviews from people being posted, and I’m glad they have all found a safe place in the salon but Unfortunately my experience just wasn’t the same. I did toss up between posting a review or not. I had some positives to say about my experience, but every day I am finding more and more things wrong with my colour and I don’t want this to happen to other girls. I came in after seeing Milly’s TikTok account and falling in love with the work. I then came across another stylist’s page from the salon and booked in with her. Unfortunately, the consult left me feeling a little bit nervous as soon as I said I was happy to pay for any extra treatments or bonding systems and this was met with a nod and immediately started foiling. I booked for a full head/ balayage, something that they seem to specialise in based off their socials. Now, I did mention that I have had a lot of hairdressers in the past skip through the back of my head as I have thick hair, and have had hairdressers make comments on my hair thickness and how it is to deal with etc. when I tie my hair up, it is the same colour as what my hair was before, with some blonde bits on the very very ends. When i had the first side of my foils rinsed, i was asked to sit in the basin until the other side of my foils were ready to be rinsed. Approximately an hour. I ended up being moved back over to the chair by Milly’s mum which I was thankful for. I kept being told that the colour was going to look “different” than my inspo pics. I kept asking if I could get an idea of what this meant, even asking her to show me what toner was being used in my hair on a colour chart, I was, in short, told no and that it was difficult to show. I also asked for one of the bouncy blow dries that are on their socials, it was stunning and she did do a fabulous job with it. When I went to the counter to pay, I noticed in the mirror one side of my face frame was thicker and brighter then the other side by quite a bit. She did offer to fix it and I am thankful that she took the time to do this, but it was one of the things that I have found over the last few days to not be even. The next morning I woke up and my blow dry had settled, I started to notice the inconsistencies in the blend, one side was blended higher then the other, one side was blended slightly better then the other, around my hairline there were bits that had been missed, and all underneath my hair was still dark. I will note, I came in with an old toner through my hair, with previously lightened hair through my ends so I was expecting dryness and to not get as bright as she got the pieces she did lighten. My inspo photos I did say I understood the fact that we may not get as light and that I was more after the look of the inspo pics, so the foil placement. I also showed a video off of her instagram that she had done herself. I do wish she would have told me if she wasn’t confident, or if she didn’t have time as I have thicker hair. I emailed the team and I explained as I live an hour or so away and have a busy schedule, coming back wasn’t really an option and that I did prefer a refund. They did accept it, and apologised which is why I am giving them two stars instead of one.

Lisa Hunter An absolutely amazing place for anything skin care and brows. I have had a range of skin treatments from facials and skin needling to IPL for pigment reduction. All tailored to my skin needs. Not to mention the product recommendations to complement the in clinic treatments. My skin has never looked better thanks to Amelie and the rest of the incredible team.

Sav Gun Asked for a skin drop fade, ended up with more like a Mohawk. Because the guy that actually does the fades couldn’t be bothered to do my hair was to busy watching a movie in the back and he told the older guy that does old men’s haircuts to do my hair , shocking .

Nelson Wright Asked for my usual, 3 on the back and sides with a trim on top. Easy professional look. I get home and my partner couldn’t believe what the back looked like. Absolutely shocking! Alison Mcdermott Staff were friendly enough, but its going to take me a long time to undo the mess they have made. I now have 4 different colours in my hair, ranging from blonde to orange. I went back for a 2nd go, thinking maybe I just got the wrong hairdresser first time, but it was just as bad. Regrowth was visible that day.

Trine Jones Such a shame the quality has gone from this place, the customer care is out the window. I had an older lady apply my brown hair dye and leave it all over my forehead and ears unevenly without tidying it up after the fact, then in the basin the apprentice trying to remove the stains BURNT my scalp to the point I had scabs for a week and I was tearing up whilst it was happening. Prior to this experience I had multiple horrific times at the basin by the young blonde apprentice and one other ethnic woman where I was scratched, was told my hair holds to much water and is hard to work with (I have standard Australian hair), my hair was pulled and the message was just uncomfortable as she spoke about her teenage dramas none stop which would be fine if her hair washing quality was up to scratch. I had to ask them to dry my hair after I sat in the chair being ignored and leave dissatisfied and in pain due to burns. I WAS a loyal customer but they’ve lost their care factor and quality is gone.
