Its always great to be on the receiving end of her work and to watch how she transforms your hair to your dream. Byanca is the easiest person to get along with, it is guaranteed youll be laughing through your entire appointment. I love B and her amazing services I could not recommend her more!

Medina Arnautovic I got my hair done with Bianca and even though she was so busy in her clinic, she ensured she catered to everyones needs individually in a timely manner, and I had seen all customers leave very happy. As well as myself. She did an amazing job ensuring she listened to my needs, and she does not rush her services which was amazing to see all with such a positive outlook. She really wears her heart on her sleeve especially when it comes to hairdressing and her clients. Would definitely recommend her services.

Nicole Johnson Claire is fantastic as are her products. She uses natural products which don’t smell harsh, in fact I don’t even recall them smelling at all, which is a good thing! What I also like is that she is on time, does not make me wait, and I am the only client she works on at a time. She is also not in a hurry and gives you her full attention. She leaves my hair soft, shiny, and with a beautiful natural colour. I’ve only been to her once but am booking my second appointment immediately after writing this review.

Beaches Lash Co I got my hair cut today by Sally who owns Essem Hair Art. It is honestly the best hair cut I have had. I have never been brave enough to go short until I met Sally and I am so glad I trusted her. It looks amazing! Very friendly salon. They let me bring my dog too! I love a dog friendly place! Highly recommend!

Phoebe Davis By far the best Barber we have met! Thank you Richie and team for making our boys haircuts a fun experience, they literally run in and act like its home. I have very active children and have had a few unpleasant experiences in the past, I leave feeling embarrassed and stressed. BUT Richie has such a calm cool energy and doesnt judge, he also does the best hair cuts and listens doesnt just chop it off! THANK. YOU ... the children were also were given Christmas ornaments in December and from memory we werent even getting our hair done just walked past, extremely generous and just a great guy!

Habib If you’re in Newport and need a proper barber, you have to check out Richie’s Barber on Robertson Rd! I walked in and there was a short wait, but I was impressed by the outstanding job Richie did on my beard trim! Personally, I shave my head, so I take great pride in my beard’s shape haha! The shape-up and trim I received were exceptional! I will definitely be returning to Richie’s Barber for all my beard trimming needs. Plus, if you’re looking for any hair or beard products, he’s got everything you could need! Highly recommend!

Lily-Ann Brown You won’t find a better hairdresser, trust me I have tried them all! I travel the better part of two hours to visit Coco Cherie but I would go twice the distance for the results here. Every time I leave, I leave with my dream hair (and that is ever evolving). The care, consideration and creativity is second to none and I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my colour!

Pauline Oakley I had a hair colour by Cherry & she did a fabulous job & really listened & understood my needs. The the hair colour products are really good, didnt sting my head at all & I had a great head massage. I highly recommend this salon, clean, professional & a nice atmosphere.

Lara Schoneveld they’re all nice but kylie was looking at herself in the mirror more than she was my hair that she was cutting, one side of the hair around my face was an inch shorter than the other. they did fix it for free which was nice but they’ve been really good in the past though i’m not sure what was up this time

Dannii Wiggins DONT GO HERE! TERRIBLE SERVICE AND TERRIBLE RESULTS. I only put 1 star because there wasnt an option to give no stars. I sent the hairdresser a photo of exactly what I wanted the night before my appointment. This was a kind of light brown to blonde balayage mixed with some capped golden highlights. Previous to this, I went into the salon and showed her the photo, which she said she could do and gave me a quote (which she later charged me more than what she quoted). On the day I again showed her the photo, which she said she could do and went on to bleach my hair with crumbly bleach (that made a mess everywhere). When I again showed here the photo she said the toner she was going to use was a mostly golden/slightly ashy toner. This came out mostly ORANGE. Which she insisted was a beautiful colour, it really wasnt. I was devastated and asked her to re-tone it, to which she said she would. I had the impression that this would make my hair more blonde and less of an orange. BUT instead my whole hair went brown. She then charged my a whopping $220 with the promise that it would get lighter by itself. IT DIDNT. I then texted her showing before and after photos, and she just insisted that it looked good and became quite obstinant. She then refused to refund my money saying that she had warned me that it was impossible because of lighting. It became really obvious that she COULDNT and WOULDNT fix it properly. I then went to the fantastic Ziggys barber/hairdresser in Oxford street. I showed my hairdresser milou the same photo and she had a huge discussion with me about exactly what I wanted...THE RESULT WAS PERFECT FROM ZIGGYS NOT HAIR AND CO. EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED FOR. EXACTLY LIKE THE PICTURE. Unlike hair and co who promised me a result and didnt deliver.

Isabella Please do not take your cat here!! Came in the other day to get my cat washed and to see what can be done about some mats in his fur. Was told to come in at 2pm as most of the dogs will be gone by then… arrived and there was about 5 dogs in the tiny salon. Also discussed over the phone that my cat has some mats around his tail and I would like them to be cut out or brushed if possible.. was told that the salon has many tools available and that she will see when I get there. I arrived at the salon and got told straight away that my cat needs a lion cut.. which means basically shaving all his fur off.. when it’s not necessary if he only has mats around his tail and back end! She proceeds to shove my cat carrier with my cat inside back at me and tells me she’s not going to torture my cat brushing or cutting out the mats isn’t possible. I do not see why it wasn’t possible to just shave out the matted area and have a proper conversation with me about it. Very rude and unprofessional! Please do not take your cat here.

Lisa Denvir Have had Charlie at another local groomer since he came to live with us. The last 2 cuts were terrible so with great hesitation we booked him in last week at Hair of the Dog. Natalie was his groomer and she did the most amazing job. Nobody has ever taken the time to comb him out before cutting so that he can keep his lovely floofiness and still be tidy and clean. I am so grateful for the care and time Natalie took with our little guy. We are already booked in for the next one. Highly reccomend

Maria Pellett Bec has helped my family without end; since Indi was a puppy she has helped us train, walk and groom her - she’s an incredibly nervous dog but adores Bec. If we see Bec out and about, Indi runs to her for a cuddle. She’s a second mum to her. Indi hates being groomed but only allows Bec to do so! Absolutely superb service and so caring. I cannot recommend enough!

Lauren Burke Booked a day beforehand, had to urgently take my dog to the vet overnight and so couldnt make it the next day as he was unwell after treatment. I called and messaged politely to let the owner know and was met with immediate nastiness. The owner was so rude I was left in tears. I hoped due to the situation she would be understanding but not at all. I was repeatedly told rudely that they were "not a medical service that provides free treatments to you" when I clearly asked for a clipping knowing that it is a grooming service and simply had to cancel and apologised for the inconvenience. I was also told that she would be "billing my card everyday" to take a no show fee. She hung up on me on the phone. She also stated that she "was not rude" after I was upset by the manner this was handled. Clearly trying to make herself look better and cant be in the wrong (seems like this is recurring reading previous reviews). Ive never been met with such harshness and rude service when politely trying to cancel due to a change in circumstance. Such a bad attitude. Save yourself the stress and do not go here.
