5 /5 David Howie: A few years ago, our sons suggested we get a financial advisor. Ian from Affluent Life was highly recommended, so we went to see him. He basically changed our lives. Having been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer in 2017, I was worried about the prospect of leaving my family in a bad financial position if I didnt work until the disease made it impossible for me to continue working. Ians evaluation of our financial position made it clear I could retire straight away and we would be financially secure. I took a years Long Service Leave(to see what life without work would look like), which ended in November 2024 and then retired! We are now enjoying the freedom of not worrying about money, free to travel whenever we want, doing up the house, and being able to help our children, with financial assistance. Both my wife and I are enjoying life without the unnecessary stresses of work and worry of future financial stability, and as a result are in a much better place both mentally and physically. Had we not visited Ian, I would probably still be working today, concerned about the future. With Ians ongoing administration and advice, we dont have to do anything with the finance side of life, and can just enjoy it! We feel so lucky to have Ian taking care of us and are so grateful for what he has done and continues to do for us.
