1 /5 M K: I’ve been an Anytime Fitness member for almost 15 years, training at AF gyms all over Australia and overseas. As my current AF gym was relocating (Hurstville). I chose to train at AF Riverwood temporarily. After some time training here my membership rolled over to this club.. and I received an email saying my membership has increased by $30 per month. No call, no chat, just an email saying this is what’s happened. After phoning the manager I decided to cancel my membership…
In all my years with AF I’ve never had, or even heard of, such a steep hike for a loyal member. This is poor practice in my opinion and I see in the reviews it’s happened to other members. Riverwood also doesn’t compare to some AF gyms that are better equipped, cleaner, and more spacious.
If you’re a long-term AF member, and thinking of training here be aware your current rate may not be honoured. Speak to the managers first before training here and having it transfer. .
Edit: Responding to your reply. I think you’re trying to deflect ownership by saying this is another club.. It was your club, Anytime Fitness Riverwood. Another review says very similar to what happened to me. I have all email correspondence with two staff members (I will leave out names). I also called up and spoke to the manager when I saw the email, in which the cancellation was put through. And you seem to have also misread what I wrote… what I said was my rate was increased “by $30” per month when my membership transferred over to this club.. it’s not another club.
