1 /5 Bruce Blu: I bought an Audi off this car yard and had it sent to Queensland. They advertise it to be mechanically A1, 2 smart keys, no dents of scratches. A couple stone chips on the bonnet,Good tyres. A credit to the 1 owner before. Was told it had just been serviced. They arranged a qld roadworthy without anyone seeing. It arrived covered in scratches and had several dents. The front bumper was supposed to have been resprayed. The damage on the bottom edge was covered with vinyl tape to hid damage and the hundreds of stone chips were visible through the new paint. One smart key was brand new but didnt work. Audi told me it wasnt for my car and a new one was $1600. So Auto union denied it wasn’t working and told me i must have dropped it.
I did about 500 kms and found it had a coolant and oil leak. The mechanic told me it had been leaking for a long time so they new it was using coolant at the very least. It Cost me $5200 to fix the coolant leak. And another $1000 to fix the oil leak. They refused to pay it. I did about 3000 kms and the car told me the brakes needed replacing. I found the front brakes had new pads but the rotors weren’t replaced and where worn out. I had to replace all 4 brake rotors and pads. I had to replace the tyres after about 7000kms and probably wouldn’t have got through a real roadworthy. I serviced it straight away and found the oil filter was damaged and the oil was so old it clearly had not been serviced for a long time.
The salesman told me he had been driving it so he would have to have known its problems, but lied to me at every opportunity. It turned out the salesman was the owner of this yard.
This man Max should not be trusted and Auto Union Arncliffe should be avoided. Unless of course you enjoy being lied to. With hindsight i very much regret buying from them. I offered Max my trust and he took advantage of this. Very disappointed.
