1 /5 Tracey Reckless: Jacqui talks about how she wants to make the law / legal advice more accessible to people who cant afford it, but then does everything she can to drag your case all the way to court. Ultimately costing you so much more in both money and emotion. She is not to be trusted. When you cant pay her outrageous costs - she sues you. Costing $$ thousands more. Please do not engage with this lawyer. There are many more trustworthy and less litigious solicitors around. And her office manager is a bulldog. They appear lovely and next minute you are in debt up to your eyeballs. Tread carefully with this person.

1 /5 D: Being on the receiving end of Jacqui Bilson is really quite horrible and distressing. As a victim of domestic violence and carer abuse at the time, Jacqui enabled and engaged in bullying, threats, and incompetence that had a significant impact on my mental and physical health. Im sure shes great when youre her client because of her tactics but, in my opinion, she is devoid of empathy and self-awareness and behaves in a way that is immoral and against her own values.

Jacqui supported, represented, and counselled me through a parenting matter in the Family Court involving very young children spanning almost 3.5 years. With my own legal education (not in Family Law), I could not have been the easiest client- I asked endless technical questions from a place of deep confusion and distress; the stakes being so high for my children, and for me in my role as a sole parent. Jacqui never failed to give me well considered advice and support, through what was the most challenging years of my life. Over these several years I established the deepest trust for Jacqui and have no reservations recommending her as a highly skilled and compassionate family lawyer. Reading earlier reviews, I’m very confused about some negative comments. I observed over many years, Jacqui’s unwavering commitment to legal ethics, human morals, and decency. I have never felt that Jacqui would support any person acting outside these boundaries and have observed her staunchly and proactively advocating for the children, holding me up when at times I became worn down. Jacqui also consistently encouraged and guided the matter to resolve through non-adversarial non-court-based methods at every opportunity. Jacqui guides and mentors with compassion. She exceeded my expectations in every way, and I will call on Jacqui again if circumstances require without hesitation.

Any legal matters is always difficult but the way Jacqui and her team handle matters takes those added pressure and stress off. The team is highly skilled, they’re non-judgmental and they’re honest in what will and won’t work. The staff are very empathetic and professional. They’ll happily mediate with the other party and come up with the best resolution for all those involved. I cannot thank Jacqui and her team enough for handling my legal matters and I recommend them for anyone who is needing legal representation.
