1 /5 Tayla: Took my watch here to get a battery replacement. Collected the watch on my lunch break and ran back to work, upon returning to work I noticed the underside of the watch and some of the band was deeply scratched, which was not how I left it. I submitted an enquiry on their website for someone to reach out and no one did. I went back to the store 3 days later as no one responded to my query to show them in person what had happened. The lady that served me wouldnt let me explain the issue, she kept saying the scratches were because the jeweller had to get into the back of the watch, which I understood. The issue was there were scratches all over this area not just in the seam which she wouldnt let me explain. She kept talking about how the same thing happened to her daughters watch. I used to work at the manufacturer that made my watch and we used to send the watches off for new batteries and not once was one returned to us like that. She walked off to talk to another employee who was out the back as I was speaking to her and made a comment about the minor wear and tear scratches on the back of the watch. In the end I just wanted to leave she made it such an unpleasant experience. She offered to refund my battery replacement of $16 which I paid for on card, she went to give me cash and when I asked for the money to be refunded on the original card, she still insisted on giving me cash without refunding the card surcharge.
When I dropped my watch off to get replaced in the beginning, the other employee advised it would be ready later that day due to the regular jeweller being on holiday, which was fine. However, now I wonder who even replaced the battery. If they could not have done it or if it was too difficult I would have understood and taken it some place else.
Would not recommend, overall unpleasant experience.
