1 /5 Johan Ramirez: Today I had an unnecessarily unpleasant experience at the front desk. I entered the gym, scanned my card, and briefly stepped outside to grab my phone from the car. When I came back in less than a minute later Alejandro the person at the front desk addressed me in an unprofessional and dismissive tone, insisting I scan again even though I had already done so.
What made the situation uncomfortable was not the request itself, but the attitude no greeting, a confrontational tone, unnecessary sarcasm, and an overall lack of basic customer service. His “thanks” felt intentionally disrespectful, which is disappointing for a place where members should feel welcome.
I generally enjoy this gym and its facilities, but interactions like this do impact the member experience. I hope management addresses this and reinforces appropriate service standards at the front desk.
