5 /5 Ian Wood: I am pleased to write a review for Hordern Wealth Management (Angus Hordern) on the basis that it may serve to provide confidence to anyone that is considering using this organization. In August 2014 my wife and I had our first review meeting with Angus Hordern. At this point in time I was 59 years old and had a huge mortgage. I had investments in superannuation but not even enough to pay out the mortgage and even then there would be no money to retire on. I shared my concerns with Angus and advised him of my objectives which were simply to pay out the mortgage and have enough money to retire on comfortably. Angus put a plan together and was confident that the objectives would be achieved in a time frame that met with my plans for retirement. I was excited at the prospect of achieving this outcome but never the less quite skeptical. In 2018, my role was made redundant and shortly after that I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. The professional advice and genuine concern that Angus provided placed me in a position by the end of 2018 to pay off my mortgage and by this time we had enough money to retire on comfortably. I am still amazed at how Angus was able to manage funds and deliver what I had thought was an impossible dream. There is no doubt in my mind that without Anguss intervention I would not be in the position I am now. His knowledge and compassion set him apart from other financial organizations. I have no hesitation in writing this review and would welcome conversation through Angus for anyone that would like to make personal contact with me.
