5 /5 Liam Gouws: Phenomenal experience, coaches are the most caring out of any gym I’ve been to and offer a wonderful experience to all levels, please come with your ego as low as possible because you will get tapped by white belts, these guys are much better than I could have ever expected. I’ve been to many gyms over Sydney and even CKB in Auckland and this is by far my favourite gym that I’ve been to.

5 /5 Emma Nunn: My two sons go to Ortiz, both of them love it, and go as many times as they can each week (before Ortiz, my boys would attend a sport/activity once maybe twice a week and sometimes at their behest). Eddie and Thiago are amazing teachers and mentors, and it shows in the community they’ve built around them. My sons love not only jiu jitsu but being in an environment with strong, honest, respectful people of all ages and sexes. I have seen many positive changes since my sons joined Ortiz: skill, strength, confidence to name a few. If your looking for something to help your kids gain skills that will help them in their everyday lives, give Ortiz a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

There is a super supportive culture with everyone wanting the best for their fellow practitioners. Couldn’t have asked for a better gym or community to learn Jujitsu.

The whole crew are awesome and the trainers have been a huge part of their successful development as young men. We are super proud and stoked we choose this Acadamy from the start of their training. His sense of agency, self respect & respect for his coaches has evolved immensely during such formative & impressionable years. It’s a fantastic, safe place for physical expression, and the teachers have given him the confidence, courage and tools to defend himself. Along with the benefits of increased determination, strength, stamina & mental focus that impacts everything he does, this environment couldn’t be a more positive example of healthy masculinity and most importantly, PLAY!
