We sort honest, independent and knowledgeable advice and found it in Claire and the Quantum Financial team. Whilst our relationship with Quantum Financial has only just began we have already experienced the level of trust, integrity and level of tailored advice that others have spoken of and the team’s passion for finance. We would not hesitate to recommend Claire and the team to any of our family and friends.

Prior to Quantum Financial, we had been clients of one of the big Australian financial institutions for over 12 years, but terminated that relationship as we were receiving poor service levels whilst paying high fees. The adverse outcome of ASIC’s investigation into the institution was the final straw. At Quantum Financial, principals Tim and Claire Mackay and their support team take a structured approach and have been good to work with. They take great care to get to know their clients and ensure their needs are met. We’re happy with the financial advice we get from Quantum. It’s middle of the road and logically sound, which should achieve the financial goals we are seeking. We have a warm and happy feeling in our dealings with Tim and Claire, and the rest of their team. It’s as if we have joined a family. Quantum’s fees are fixed, agreed annually in advance and based on anticipated workload rather than portfolio size. This provides us transparency and reassurance that their advice is independent and not swayed by commission income. Quantum Financial are not cheap, but we feel their fees are acceptable for the level of personal service provided. An important consideration for us when choosing a financial adviser was the assistance that would be provided to the survivor, should the more financially-literate spouse die suddenly or lose capacity. We have every confidence that high levels of support would be available from Tim and Claire should the need arise, which is very reassuring.

Their approach is necessarily conservative, while at the same time providing realistic returns. We meet at least annually, often twice year, to discuss my portfolio. They handle all the administrivia, so my only involvement is signing a few documents occasionally. I cannot recommend Quantum highly enough.

5 /5 Malcolm Stewart: I am taking the opportunity to post a review of Quantum Financial because, like so many others, I found it very difficult to identify financial planners that met my expectations. This was particularly true of exploratory meetings that I had with planners from one of the Big Four banks. At Quantum Financial, Tim and Claire Mackay operate in ways that seamlessly meet all of my requirements. Their academic qualifications in Accounting, Law, Economics, Commerce, Business and Financial Planning are significant factors for me. These qualifications, when taken together with their breadth of experience in banking and finance, and a range of high level appointments to bodies such as ASIC and the ATO, provide me with a level of expertise which far exceeds anything that I encountered anywhere else. As well as providing an excellent mix of "youth and experience", Tim and Claire encourage open communication and transparency in dealing with their clients. They are active volunteers in the community, and have travelled to many remote destinations. For the client, this brings a grounded, real-world perspective to the table. Overall, Ive been thoroughly satisfied with my experience at Quantum Financial and never hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
