1 /5 Neil Laurence: I needed to use power of attorney for a friend of mine in an aged care facility. The very abrupt lady on the front desk said to me that I had to have the lady whose power of attorney I was representing present. I explained that this was not possible due to her age to which she responded you need to get a letter from a doctor to verify this and this was the St George bank policy. All of this is complete and upper rubbish and the dismissive tone in which she spoke to me was very disappointing. I did get the doctors letter but rather than go back to Carlingford I went to Top Ryde and was met with smiling faces and an eagerness to help and bewilderment as to why I had the doctors letter.

1 /5 WADE WANG: The ATM here is very confusing. It shows two machines, and both are marked St George & Westpac. However, you cannot deposit money into it normally. In addition, there is a problem with the function of withdrawing banknotes. The most surprising thing is that the bank staff knew this would happen and repeatedly allowed loyal yet uninformed customers to continue to card money in that damn ATM. To request a refund, you have to go in person and wait 4 weeks. . The most maddening thing is that after the assistance of four different staff, no one felt sorry and was told as a matter of course that you had to wait for the backend to contact you. If you can accept the delay of four weeks in depositing money, delays in paying your familys bills and rent, and poor customer service attitude, welcome to St George & Westpac Bank.

1 /5 T M: Horrible manager, very rude, contradictive and condescending. Got sorted at another St George bank without a problem. They were even baffled as to why my request was not met by this manager and staff. Unbelievable and absolutely incompetent!

1 /5 E G: Today, I had a very bad experience with the extremely unprofessional Branch Manager, “C, Sun”. She was unwilling to help me with my request, even when one of her staff members tried to explain how to assist me and solve the problem. She replied very rudely, saying, I cant do it. Consequently, I had to leave the bank and call St. George to get my request done over the phone."
