1 /5 Ian Royle: They tried to charge me $2800 for an ignition problem on my Holden Berlina s/w!!!!!!! My wife was stuck in Ikea Tempe because the key wouldn’t turn and the steering wheel was locked. Had to get an extraction out of the underground parking lot and then get another tow truck so after a stressful day thought it was a good idea to send the towey down the street to these guys 2 kms down the road. They told me I needed a new key barrel, new keys and for some muppet reason a whole new steering column!!!!!!! Of course I went irate about this and asked if the mechanic had had a second opinion on this. Anyway, long story short . I spent another 400 bucks to get another tow truck to get the hell out of there and took it to a lock-smith after been recommended by a friends mechanic. He charged me $450 for two new keys. That’s it, That was it.. Just a new key!!!!. Even worse, the tow truck driver also complained that these muppets were saying that I was wasting my time taking it away.Doesn’t stop there, they charge you very close to $200 to just look at the car and rip you off!!!!!!! $200 for a quote?????? Seriously, for the love of God, don’t go there. I questioned the amount they wanted me to pay, after a while( this is over the phone) he came clean and said it was 800 bucks for parts . So doing the math it was $2000 in labour? In the simplest terms it was on average 10 hours at $200 an hour???????????? So what was quoted realistically was a mechanic starting at 8am in the morning and having a half hour lunch break, back working only on my car without stopping till 6:30pm That as the quote? And to give me this quote costed me $200 ?!!!!! It took 3 hours to pay these guys there fraud money so they could release my car!! It took 1 hour for the other guy I took my car to get the work done. I want my $198 back! I feel sorry for the poor old people that don’t know they are being duped. Can anyone help me in which avenue I can get my money back? I swear this actually happened. I would only assume they make enough coin from corporate companies and have no problem screwing the average citizen. Shame on you

1 /5 Rebecca Harrison: Growing up with a well respected father who bought and sold prestige vehicles in the St George area for 50 years, I learnt who respected customers, and who to avoid Im my fornative years, I gained experience working not only in my fathers car yard, but also other well respected car yards, highly respected car detailing work shops and mechanics over 12 years before changing careers. Suttons is a company that do not care about their customers once the car has been bought, as their service centre management are rude upon questioning how a $1200 invoice became $2445 overnight when asking for the additional pink slip that had uncovered the brake light issue they had just charged me for. Knowing I could not leave without a completed pink slip, I was suddenly required to pay for new tyres and additional work that previous mechanics had not picked up. Upon requesting that I be permitted to pay $2200 of the sudden increase in charge on pick up, and permitted 2 days to pay the remaining $245, the very lovely and understanding Elizabeth inquired to management on my behalf. Only to be very embarrassed to ring back with the reply that management had refused the request and my car would not be released until the $2245 was paid in full. So not only are their Holden Captivas that have only done 50000 kms full of faults as I had already forked out $5000 for a computer fault, their customer relations aside from Elizabeth is non existent unless you are buying the car. Once its driven out, you are a nobody , someone to just get more money out from through their servicing that is required for faulty cars.

1 /5 Brendon Chambers: Over a decade ago at age 19, this dealership used shady tactics to sell a young impressionable person a car. The sales person made misrepresentations about the car (claiming the car included navigation, which it did not and he later denied - Keeping in mind at the time this was a luxury to have in cars and was fairly handy to have) and overall talked about its reliability etc as any sales person would. The finance person also got me a GREAT deal on finance with an unbelievably good 15% interest rate via ESANDA under their flex commission scheme which has been going through the courts for the past few years. Dealers were knowingly increasing rates on customers to obtain a higher finance commission. Long story short, two different customers could be presented with wildly different interest rates, and the higher the rate, the more the dealership was paid. Disgusting to have ever sold this to a kid who ashamedly had mentioned he had no idea about any of this stuff. Realistically at age 19, I should not have been approved for finance in the first place considering the monthly payment was just under 1/3rd of my wage. On top of that, the car was so bad at 70000kms, the car had to be sold because it was going to cost me more to repair it than it was worth. Head gasket issues, cracked header, and the aftermarket performance springs they installed on my car were completely shot. At 70000kms with 2 years left on warranty, these were considered wear and tear and no warranty assistance was provided. A very expensive lesson learned on my end. Worst car Ive ever owned in my life curtesy of the worst dealership Ive ever experienced in my life. At the very least, the life skills obtained from this dealership are priceless. Thankyou for that.
