5 /5 Lance Redgrave: Our second time to Cento 22 and it certainly wont be our last. From the moment you walk through the doors, you get a sense that these are people that are passionate about food. What I love the most about this place is the personal and friendly service. The owners Chris and Libby, make you feel as though you’ve just come home for dinner. They have a commitment to sharing their love for italian food in an authentic and unpretentious way. Tonight we experienced the Willoughby Living special, which was a delicious antipasto board - the roasted eggplant, Italian meats and focaccia were mouth watering. Our main was a fabulous plate of simple, flavoursome pasta, I had the pappardelle bolognese and Alanah Fox had the Casarecce-Sicilian Pasta, both were absolutely delicious. Accompanied by a delightfully full bodied 2013 chianti, its safe to say our meal was simply spectacular. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer, having to rush home to relieve our (wonderful) babysitters. With a focus on fresh, seasonal produce, a great matching wine selection and friendly, personal service, Cento 22 is definitely worth a visit. If you love food, if you love real, simple, delicious Italian food, if you appreciate good wholesome service, then do yourself a favour, and book a table at Cento 22, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
