5 /5 Scomat Del: Best chicken shop in Sydney! Being eating from here for over 20yrs! Chicken is moist, flavoursome and has great stuffing! Salads- great variety and always fresh! Burgers- very decent and quite big! Chips- not overcooked and a very generous serve no matter the size you order.

1 /5 Maria Kulevski: I have been regularly buying our dinners from your shop on a weekly basis for almost a year now since moving to the area. Today, after purchasing chicken, rice, vegetables, and hot chips, I came home and served dinner to my elderly mother and my daughter. They both ate their meals, but when I went to eat mine, I noticed that the rice tasted extremely sour — it was clearly “off.” I immediately called the store and asked to speak directly with the owner to explain what had happened. When he got on the phone, he told me that the rice had been cooked yesterday and was “probably off” today. He then proceeded to talk over me, saying the rice had been sitting in the shop window since 12, which is why it had spoiled. I explained that regardless of the weather (which was cold and cloudy today anyhow) or the time food has been on display, proper food safety practices should prevent spoiled food from being sold to customers. His response was to tell me to come in next time and collect my $10 refund. My concern isn’t about the $10 — it’s about the health and safety risk this poses, especially to my elderly mother in her 80s who would not cope well if she became sick from food poisoning. The owner completely missed the point of my call by focusing on the refund instead of taking responsibility for the food safety issue. Admitting that the rice was “probably off” and had just been thrown out 10 minutes ago is alarming. You may be a busy chicken shop, but dismissing customer feedback and disregarding safe food handling practices will only harm your reputation and business over time.

3 /5 Gabriel Gitman: Wishbone Chickens is a very decent chicken shop that makes decent food. If you are looking for a quick pit stop for some delicious chicken, I would come here! However, this place is a 3 stars for me. Please have a read, read very thoroughly, and please consider all my reasonings! When arriving at this place, it seemed very messy as if it hadnt been cleaned all day. The food looked very delicious and appetizing! However, after looking at the place, I realized how unsanitary this place was. I could see that in between each glass frame, we can see a little burnt glue and possibly to what I think could be mold growing in between the cracks, the glass was pretty dirty and It felt very unpleasing observing grease, oil, and hand stains all over the counter. I can see it wasnt dusty. However, it felt that it hadnt been cleaned for a few days now! Its important to maintain absolute sanitary conditions for the health and safety of all staff and consumers! Regular cleaning is mandatory, sometimes its required to clean twice a day at the bare minimum! When ordering the food, I was a little surprised with the pricing for the skewers, a whopping $13 for 3 skewers, which actually startled me a little bit. However, the wrap was well-priced for what I got at $13. Unfortunately, when it came to the food quality and taste, the chicken skewers were a little undercooked and a little burnt on the outside. The chicken tasted delightful. However, it was a little dry, and I assume they have been there all day laying under the heat which removed thkse delicious juice from the chicken. When it came to the wrap, it was delicious. However, it seems that the concept of making a wrap correctly is not understood. The way my wrap was made was the bread was a little warmed up and given some brown to it, then they put the chicken, then the veggies, and on top they put all the sauce. The problem with doing that is that the sauce was only on one side, and the chicken, which tasted amazing, was sort of dry on the other side of the wrap! Wraps need to have the sauce all over the wrap, not on just one particular area! The perfect way to make the wrap is mayonnaise as the base of the bread so that it is evenly spread, then the lettuce and tomatoes, and then the chicken in the middle to get the right mix of everything. After all, I did still decently enjoy my food. I would consider improving all of these things. Perhaps another day, Ill come by and edit my review. Thank you for a decent meal!
