5 /5 Janaina Souza: After a few months living in Kogarah, I finally found a decent local cafe.
This place has only been open for 6 months, but it already feels like a gem. The atmosphere is cosy, the decor is sophisticated and stylish, and the staff are so warm and attentive. You can feel the care in everything they do, from roasting their own coffee beans to elevating every dish with thoughtful flavours and presentation.
I tried quite a few things (for research purposes… of course) and everything was outstanding:
Prosciutto Benedict – $25
Poached eggs, blood-orange hollandaise, grilled kale, prosciutto, toasted schiacciata. Perfection.
Steak Sandwich – $24
120g lean beef, caramelised onion, cheese, comeback sauce, lettuce & tomato on toasted schiacciata. Served with crunchy fries and ketchup.
Frumpets – $22
Deep-fried crumpets tossed in cinnamon sugar, crème fraîche, bitter orange & rosewater pashmak. A MUST! Surprisingly good, and it doesn’t feel heavy after eating.
House-made treats
– Brownie. So good!
– Vegan chocolate mousse
– Lemon tart
Drinks
– Mocha. One of the best (according to my partner)
– Hot chocolate
– Fresh pineapple–orange juice
Every plate that came out was beautiful, generous and full of flavour.
If you’re anywhere nearby Bayside / St George, you have to check them out. Definitely my favourite local spot now!
