1 /5 Andy Pritchard-Smith: All in all, an awful experience. The treatment was rushed and shoddy, and the way my issues/concerns were dealt with after were extremely unprofessional from an unpleasant and rude woman. Let me explain…
I went in for a back wax. First of all the job was rushed, it was as if Colleen, the therapist, wanted to take my skin off not just my hair. I’d like to say this was not my first back wax, so I know how it should be carried out.
As I left, after a 20 minute session and $100 lighter, I then noticed that some spots had been missed. I went back and she kindly removed the patches that she originally missed.
After getting home I then noticed that there was wax in my leg hair and all over the shorts I had been wearing. Safe to say there was a lack of care and attention.
I phoned about this and was told that the shorts could be cleaned if I could bring them in, which I agreed to.
I then phoned back a few days later saying I was unfortunately too busy to take the shorts in and asked if we could come to another arrangement. Donna, who was the lady I spoke with about this, then said I could have a full refund for the treatment, which I accepted. She told me she’d have to check if this was able to be done over the phone and she’d call me back. She didn’t.
I then tried to phone the salon the next day, but I was being directed straight to voicemail, my number had been blocked. I could tell this was the case as my girlfriend phoned and managed to get straight through.
I managed to get some free time to make my way to the salon to collect my agreed refund, where I was met by a very confrontational Donna.
She asked to see the shorts, to which I showed her pictures and she agreed they were stained. She then went back on her offer of a refund and asked to try and clean the shorts. I argued that this wasn’t the offer we agreed upon. I asked why she didn’t call me back, I was told she was too busy. I suppose that’s fair enough, we all are, if that really was the case. I then asked why my number had been blocked, but she denied this was the case.
We eventually agreed on a $50 refund, to which Donna told me “I’ll give you $50 to leave.” Very kind of you Donna.
