What Clients Are Saying Wedding Cake Rock Trail (GG)
4 /5 Venu Parthiban: This is a beautiful coastal track full of gorgeous native flora and birds. Enjoyable moderate track with a lot of the path covered with walking platforms.
This track can get very busy during weekends and public holidays. At places the track is narrow and can get congested with trail runners
5 /5 Mary Ha: The Wedding Cake Rock Trail is a beautiful coastal walk that’s surprisingly easy to complete. The track is only about 1 hour round trip from Bundeena, making it perfect for a quick escape into nature. Although there are a few sections with slight uphill and downhill sections, it’s still an accessible trail for most people with a moderate level of fitness.
The $12 national park entry fee is totally worth it for the incredible views and the experience of walking through the stunning Australian coastline. It’s a fantastic spot for whale and dolphin watching during the right season!
I’d highly recommend this trail to anyone who enjoys hiking but doesn’t want something too intense. A perfect blend of beauty and ease – great for a relaxed but rewarding outdoor adventure!
5 /5 Cindie Sun: The costal view was so beautiful! The trail is not challenging. Suitable for a family weekend walk.
4 /5 Therealworld: Entrance to this walk is at the end of Beachcomber Ave. A 6km out and back well formed and very popular trail. National Parks does a good job of maintaining it so it is usable all year round. Some amazing North and South coastal views from many locations. The wedding cake rock is a bit of a let down when you get there due to the safety fencing now erected because of the instability of the cliff face. The walk is nice and on a perfect day it’s even better!
5 /5 Pincy Jones: Pretty amazing spot. The initial walk is relatively easy but there are a couple of spots to be cautious of especially if its been raining the day before. Still plenty of whales around in early October and there was also a pod of Dolphins on my walk. Best to go early in the morning for parking.
Prasath Sankarapandian Beautiful walking trail and very good view, carry enough water as there no spots to refill. It takes around 1 hour to see the eagle point view from watamolla car park.
Javier GĂłmez GarcĂa Moderate walk through the bushes and alongside the ocean. We started in Wattamolla Picnic area and the trek is very well preserved and the cliffs walk alongside the ocean is amazing. Better to buy parking ticket online before going, the machines there sometimes don’t work
Mark Titley Stunning area of NSW and the Royal National Park. The perfect place to spot Whales(June/July) or shoot the perfect landscape or just watch the waves underneath you. Part of a much bigger walk that you can take to Marley Beach or even further (up to 26km) along the coast. Amazing & highly recommended!
Ned Marjanovic Cruising through Royal National Park—twists, trees, ocean breeze, and Van Morrison’s Days Like This in the background. One of the most beautiful rides around Sydney. Just the road, the rhythm, and that perfect kind of peace.
