D Yas Stunning little garden perfect for a short stroll or enjoy a lovely picnic on the manicured lawn, picnic tables or benches around the park. The informatiom boards were a great read learning a bit of history whilst enjoying a walk to break up the day.

Rob Pallot A great park located near the train station. Also home to a fantastic local Christmas carols event held each year in December

The Melbie Finally! Got to explore the garden at the junction of Balwyn & Canterbury Rd which always looked inviting driving past. While it is more of a park, a small one at that - it does have a deep gully sloping terrain in the middle with a hidden creek.. Bitumen paths along the top & one cutting through over the bridge. Dogs & cyclists allowed. With the busy drone of traffic along Canterbury Rd even on a Sunday - it is not exactly tranquil. No playground but has a gazebo for added interest & plenty of garden seats. The limited floral plantings & parterre are along the Station side & back boundary. Has potential for smaller gravel pathways to enable a good workout given the sloping terrain. The beaut feature of this garden is the massive oak trees & elms that provide a cool canopy. There is one BBQ & bench table. Just walk through from Surrey Hill station carpark where you will find a park on weekends. Toilet at park entry on Canterbury Rd or at train station.

J C Good park... Settings, baby swing, slides, balance stuff, spider web, rock climbing, small flying foxes X2, wheel swing. Getting old and dated... Need for pork barreling from our governments. Whats with the higher flying fox, by the time kids are tall enough... They probably wont want to go to the playground

M L This is our local park and its a great little spot. My son loves to play here and its also part of the Anniversary Trail, which makes it a convenient place to do exercise. Only real negatives are that there are no public restrooms and occasionally a dog owner seems unable or unwilling to control their dog. Other than that its great.

Luke K Well fenced playground with lots of interesting play equipment. Impressed by the two flying foxes that caters to the larger kids, and the smaller ones that usually miss out on being able to do their own swinging. The playground is surrounded by the larger park area that caters to dogs too so that may or not be a factor for others. It also has a train / locomotive theme
