1 /5 Nabil Ace: I’m very disappointed with my experience at Active EP. My GP referred me to Dr. Nick regarding my extreme back pain that I had for years,
specifically because I was told he could prescribe the medication I needed. Before confirming my $260 appointment, I called the clinic and clearly asked the admin staff if Dr. Nick could provide the prescription. They put me on hold for five minutes and then assured me he could.
Based on that confirmation, I booked the appointment and attended. After a brief 30 minute consultation, Dr. Nick informed me that he could not prescribe the medication. I was shocked — especially since I had double-checked this with their staff the day before.
When I raised this issue, the response I got was that the admin staff had made a mistake due to a “lack of knowledge” — and yet, I was still charged the full $260 fee for a consultation that did not serve the purpose I was told it would. I also had a heath care card and Medicare card and still got charged so much. I was put on the spot and forced to pay $260 which I couldn’t afford .
I feel misled and taken advantage of. This was a complete waste of time and money, and I was essentially forced to pay for a service that didn’t help me, based on false information from their own staff. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this clinic to anyone.
