1 /5 Tim Bussell: Avoid this firm like COVID. I used CE Family Lawyers many years ago and they were ok. Unfortunately I engaged them recently and realised that they had lost their edge (to put it mildly). They were slow to respond, their advice seemed to be uninformed, they were easily offended by constructive criticism and incredibly overpriced. One of their principals seems to have exceeded his use by date as his advice was barely standard and never timely. Everything was always someone elses fault. Even a one star rating overstates their usefulness. Fortunately, I sacked them before it was too late and moved to a competent firm that provided a highly professional service. Look up Mitchell Family Law, they are fantastic.

1 /5 Jennifer Hunt: CE Family lawyers proved themselves to be money hungry, lack lustre and incompetent in my simple case. Their initial paperwork prepared by their Principal was flawed and they hungrily built a case based on this which could never result in anything for me but a time intensive $100,000 lost family court debacle. There was zero support and they recommended barristers who were as equally ineffectual and nepotistic. Towards the end of my case David E. who I’d never dealt with called me to ask if I’d like to withdraw my proceedings and I was not informed why he was making this call. I was to soon learn that they had discovered their error and didn’t inform me and made a cryptic phone call presumably to say they were under instructions to proceed and cover themselves. They did not disclose to me their error. They did say that if things were proven to fail I could sue them as incentive to keep going but how can a single mother without the means sue a legal firm who are so well armed to fight against one person. How incredibly self entitled to say ‘you continue to disrupt your life and we’ll pop it in with our daily running’s and threaten to make you pay costs’. I felt defeated, disillusioned and disgusted. The judge ruled that the legal work was flawed from the outset and I received not a word of apology nor offer to refund my lost $100,000 that they greedily lined their pockets with. An appalling demonstration of a legal practice whose sole aim is to churn people through and feather their own nests. At all costs avoid CE Family Lawyers. There are far better, more capable, more ethical and more genuine lawyers out there. CE Family Lawyers deserve a 0/10 rating from me and I can see others have had a similar experience. Fascinating to see 50% of their 5 star reviews have no descriptions around them. Asking people to ‘just do a review to pick up our ratings’ isn’t a good look. Perhaps remedy your actual performance and some negatives might resolve.
