1 /5 Charles Hitchings: I was sold a second hand car that had a fault and I was offered (and pretty much talked into) buying a new Chery Tiggo 8 pro max. I had asked about a new Suzuki but no, James the salesman talked me out of that with all kinds of claims. I took his advice (after me telling him I didn’t trust or feel comfortable with Chinese cars) and bought the Chery. From the first day I had the dash go completely blank and rebooted for around 5 seconds, Apple CarPlay would not worked unless the cord was connected, the lane assist tried to swerve me back into the car in the left lane I was overtaking, cruising along on cruise control and the car slammed its brakes on down to 100kmh and then starts accelerating, gearbox error messages.. I took the car for the 1000km check up and told of my concerns and was told it was all ok. I ended up trading this unsafe lemon in and losing over 20K. I had contact with the receptionist to speak to the dealer principal Matt (that had not even bothered to contact me after several phone calls and messsges). I am taking them to VCAT, I will also when I have the time going to spend my time outside the dealership warning people about these people. I implore you, if you are thinking of buying a Chery don’t …. Especially from these liars.
