1 /5 So50 (So50): Dropped into Lime to check it out. Asked for a quick tour and the membership options. Was told I had to scan a QR code first. I asked why, since I just wanted to see the gym and get the pricing. He repeated, "You need to scan the QR code."
I’m not stupid, so I said straight up, "This isn’t a good start."
Told him I was in a rush and not signing up today, just scoping it out for next week. He insisted it would "only take five minutes." That is like walking into a shop, asking the price of a shirt, and being told to hand over your personal details first.
Reluctantly scanned it. First thing it asked for was my phone number. No thanks. That is private, and clearly just for their sales funnel, despite the fact I walked in.
Said I wasn’t entering my info. He apologised and said it was policy. I have trained at top gyms around the world and never been asked for personal data before even seeing the place.
Not going back. The whole thing reeks of bad priorities. Later reviews confirmed it. This is not a client-first operation.
Bye Lime. Red flags everywhere.
