1 /5 Amanda Newman: Normally I wouldnt leave a review but I found Darebin Conveyancing via a google search and they had 5 stars, which unfortunately gave me the confidence to hire them. I would not recommend this company and hope this review helps others to make an informed decision.
We had multiple issues with them, but the biggest one was that they were extremely poor at communication throughout the entire process. They took days to respond to simple questions, which held up our settlement date as all parties would be waiting on the response before anyone could move forward. Tina took random days off without prior notice and nobody in the office would sufficiently cover her in her absence. We did not even get notification from them that settlement had successfully occurred - we found out from our mortgage broker and the sellers realtor, who each called to congratulate us. Afterwards we called and emailed the Darebin Conveyancing office multiple times but did not hear from them to confirm our settlement for 5 days!
Unfortunately this is just one of many issues we had with them so its not an isolated misstep. Realistically I would give them 2 stars because we did ultimately close, but I rated 1 star so that their general google rating would be a better representation of their services. I would never work with them again and would advise others to stick to conveyancers that have been personally recommended to them.
