1 /5 Marie Candasamy Pillay: If I could assign a rating of zero, I would. The customer service provided by the woman at the middle standing desk in this branch on December 20, 2024, was unacceptable. This is not my first encounter with her (an Asian-looking woman), and each interaction has demonstrated her poor customer service skills, characterized by rudeness and a lack of interest in assisting customers. Her demeanor suggested that I was a nuisance, and she appeared more engaged with her phone than with my needs.
When I requested assistance with my account, she informed me that she would address my request only after completing another task, despite being responsible for assisting me at that moment.
I believe this branch needs to evaluate its staff, differentiating between those who are genuinely committed to assisting customers and those who exhibit a dismissive attitude. There is one employee who consistently provides excellent customer service and is always helpful. However, the overall standard at this branch requires significant improvement through staff training and performance reviews. If the Elsternwick branch is unwilling to prioritize customer service, it may be prudent to consider its continued operation, especially given the disrespectful treatment I have witnessed towards elderly patrons. I firmly believe this is the worst branch I have encountered. The rating on google demonstrate the service quality.
