Her pilates sessions have been transformational for my body, in terms of reducing pain, increasing my range of motion and building strength. For example, I can now feel my core and my glutes firing and engaging, which has assisted me immensely in the other physical activity that I do. Mel has a precise and intuitive awareness of which muscles I am and am not using, and then tailors exercises to that, as well as to how my body is feeling on a particular day. She is also very particular about form and technique, ensuring Im doing each exercise exactly right. Mel has helped me far more than any exercise program Ive done with a physio or exercise physiologist in the past.
