1 /5 Jeremy Ball: Extremely disappointing I had high hopes when I first spoke with Vanessa, she was kind. compassionate, intelligent and came across as business like. I should have taken note of the first red flag, meeting at her temporary office in Mullumbimby I was left waiting outside in the front garden for 20 minutes in 40 degree heat, half shading myself under a tree. Following the poor start the meeting went quite well, my matter was time conscious with Christmas coming up I wanted to agree shared time with children and stop my ex continual changing arrangements directly with the children and pestering me at my home. Vanessa said she would draft a letter that afternoon. 3 or 4 days later I received a draft that needed much work, but was completed emailed a couple of days later .... to the wrong email address. The follow up letter, then days before Vanessa was taking time off was sent with a demand to respond 30 minutes before the email was sent. Naturally this had the other party lose respect for my lawyer and my standpoint lost all its weight, instead of taking my calls to rectify the situation Vanessa went on holiday on the dot and was not available again until 4 weeks later, having massively harmed my situation and suffering revenge from my consistently vindictive ex. No apologies from Vanessa, no attempts to rectify the situation or at the very least strike off the charges for the glaring errors. Instead I am constantly harassed to pay for Vanessas ineptness that has done further damage to my family situation and my relationship with my children. Vanessa is extremely articulate in her writing and clear insightful in assessing a situation - unfortunately her inept follow through and lack of self responsibility has done incredible harm to my situation and I live with the consequences everyday.

In saying that there has also been the opportunity for some personal touches which made our ongoing interaction so much more comfortable. I dont hesitate in recommending their services

1 /5 Gabrielle Goldklang: If there was an option to leave zero stars I would. When we first met Vanessa seemed quite knowledgeable. Vanessa dragged things out and made things much worse now after paying her many thousands of dollars. She often went on unannounced holidays at important times throughout my case. When we got my exes signature on the court form Vanessa supplied and filed, the court did not accept this form as Vanessa got the incorrect form which had expired a year before. She then gave me advice for a caviet and I went with her advice and the court did not accept the caviet which she had advised me to do. When I questioned her, she failed to take any responsibility and failed to acknowledge her massive mistake in trying to filed an expired form. When I questioned her she then used emotional manipulation saying my ex is trying to turn me against her. Very unprofessional. Due to Vanessa’s big mistake on getting a very outdated court form and her supplying insufficient advice, I have no settlement and am in a worse position than before I met her. What a big waste of a lot of money and time. I would not recommend her to anyone.
