1 /5 Brochelle Georgeson: We had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul from Mortgage Life. Initially, things started off well—he was responsive and helpful getting out mortgage off the ground while our builder was still in play. However, when our builder unfortunately went under and it seemed his commission might be uncertain, Paul & Mortgage Life employees completely ghosted us - no discussion, explanation or apologies.
Despite repeated attempts to reach out for guidance during an incredibly stressful and scary time, we were met with silence. This lack of professionalism and support was not only frustrating but left us feeling completely abandoned when we needed expertise the most. We respect work for what could end up being no pay is a terrible situation too but a conversation could have gone a long way.
What makes this even harder is that we had referred others to Paul in good faith, and we had every intention of using his services again in the future. Sadly, this experience has completely eroded our trust, and we now regret helping to grow his business when he was unwilling to stand by us during difficult times.
Buying or building a home is a major life event, and trust is essential in these partnerships. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Paul or Mortgage Life as a reliable or supportive broker.
