1 /5 Clinton Sullivan: I live across the road so thought I would drop in to have a solicitor sign a legal document for me. Greeted by reception and was told they do have a solicitor in he is just on the phone and was asked to wait. 10 min later was told by the receptionists that he can’t sign them as he is not a family law solicitor?? I showed her the documents again where it clearly says any lawyer or JP can sign them and was told abruptly that he can’t sign it, I asked again is it because he is too busy? And was told he doesn’t look after that part of the law?? I gave up, clearly the receptionist went back whilst I was waiting and the Lawyer didn’t want to waist time witnessing a document that would have taken just 1-2 min! I would have accepted this if only they just told me something like sorry to keep you waiting unfortunately our solicitor it quite busy can we book a time!! Or something like that.. I went down to the local MP office and had a JP sign it no problems.
