Due to personal reasons I had a cheque that was 14 months old I called the company who issued the very large refund that everything was correct and valid on their end and I was instructed to see my bank. To which the rude and very blunt customer service teller informed me that she wouldnt process it as cheques become invalid after 15 months. I asked her as I was very confused, if would she atleast try and said very rudely responded "NO! As it will be rejected!" with a not so subtle eye roll that she gave me and my son. We replied "okay" and left the venue. Its his 3rd birthday this weekend and the extra cash would have been wonderful and being within the time frame she even admitted too, I left absolutely devastated. My partner has used that bank as his home bank for 40 years and now we are considering moving all finances to another bank. NAB closed across the road in sorrento some time ago...perhaps COMBANK should consider closing this store also.
