5 /5 Tim Tey: THANK YOU so much to the absolutely INCREDIBLE Ausspice team - including the boss, cashier and chefs - from both my friend/godfather Peter Smith and I for both the absolutely AMAZING food and drink as well as the absolutely LOVELY friendly hospitable service we yesterday during our most recent visit yesterday in the morning on Wednesday 17/12/2025.
I am so sorry to Ausspice team to only now type up and post this extremely well deserved 5-star Google review on behalf of both Peter and I especially because I was meant to do so before the end of yesterday - I have no excuse no matter how occupied I was these last 24 hours - but rest assured we are nothing less than 100% grateful to each and every single one of them for the first rate food and drink as well as the first rate service.
Last but not least, THANK YOU so much to Peter for so generously paying for lunch at Ausspices yesterday for both of us - he also so generously bought takeaway lunches for his wife and sister in law - I am so grateful to him. Its such an honour to be spoiled like that. And it is such an honour to yesterday once again for the first time in months - so sorry to their them from both Peter and I, we feel so bad that long story short we were unable to come for that long and hope to visit again soon after that - to enjoy the absolutely AMAZING food of Ausspices.
As you can see in the photos below, the Indian and Sri Lankan dishes and side dishes we had looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL and the same can be said about the taste - there are also Malaysian dishes, I think specifically Malaysian Indian dishes - a diverse array of the most deliciously authentic Indian and Sri Lankan flavours.
The savoury pastries resembling donuts, Vades were so beautifully fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside, with spinach as well accomplished by a refreshing plesant orange coloured chutney made of coconut and I think capc
The pappadums were such delicate tasty flat and crunchy crackers. And those meat curries were first rate both unbelievably tender beef and unbelievably tender...deer (I think thats what Peter told me). Then there were fried crunchy whole chilli skins that further enhanced the already truly exceptional flavours and textures of our lunch. As always too, the rice was nice and fluffy, easily mixing in with and absorbing the favours of our aforementioned dishes. Peter kindly let me have a piece of butter chicken, cooked in a tandoori with scrumptious grilled flavour and smooth tasty tomato based sauce.
Peter also so kindly bought me a Mango Lassi - admittedly as relatively high as my spice tolerance is it could be higher - a smoothie style yoghurt drink with fresh mango blended into it, definitely grab one after having the spicier or spiciest items on the Ausspices menu.
Peter understands could finish all his food in spite of how unbelievably tasty everything was and I myself couldnt finish what he couldnt finish too even though everything was so delicious...so we asked if we could takeaway the leftovers and the Ausspices team so kindly provided free of charge a high quality multi compartment takeaway container and plastic bag free of touch THANK YOU so much to them, so grateful and so sorry to them we couldnt finish all our food, as unbelievably tast as it was.
I think both Peter and I speak for everyone in the community particularly within Dandenong North when we say...what a tremendous honour to have Ausspices, a restaurant and caterer providing the absolute BEST service and the absolute BEST most authentically delicious Indian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian (specifically Malaysian Indian) cuisine (plus sweet drinks like the Mango Lassi) for such affordable and accessible value for money prices! Below this 5-star Google review is an image showing the entire menu from back to front, take a look, visit today, you will be absolutely BLOWN AWAY.
