5 /5 Matthew William (Will): We did the $75 per head chefs menu and I simply cannot fault it - everything was spectacular. Staff were amazing, interior was to die for and the food was just awesome. Bonus - they use Rose St Industry Beans coffee beans, my favourite roast from IB, magic was great!

5 /5 Harry Sekhon: After contemplating a visit for, what Ive been told has turned out to be 2 years, we finally made it to Gemini. From the moment we entered we felt so welcome. The ambience is classy yet rustic. The acoustics are superb, no cackles or noise from across the dining hall. It was rather relaxing and peaceful. We opted for a Sunday Session with Chefs Selection menu. After perusing the thoughtfully crafted menu, chose to go all out with main course upgrade and dessert. The Chardonnay, pino noir and Grenache by the glass are fantastic. Eli (sorry if Ive misspelled your name mate) looked after us like wed walked into his home. The chefs up to some crazy flavour and ingredient combos and techniques. The best grilled octopus Ive had in Melbourne. I expected the MB5 Wagyu to be a touch more tender, but it might just have been our eating pace that cooled it down and hence made it a touch too chewy. The poached quince and hazelnut chocolate mousse ended the arvo on a high for us. The servings through all the courses are generous so make sure you bring an appetite if youre upgrading. Looking forward to our next visit here. The founders are indeed pioneers of what could soon become the second coming of Sydney Rd on the Coburg end.

5 /5 Hugh Miller: Gemini. Think small, cosy neighbourhood bar. Think also a great morning coffee spot with pastries. Think going past, pit stop cocktail or snack. Think, "Ive got a free week day off, lets go when its quiet." Think outside of Australia, where the local businesses are all day. Gemini is your small cosy local. With a intimate, tasteful and modern interior fit out. Its that type of venue where seating is limited, yet, ultimately feels worth it. A refined menu, usually in seasonal variation on one side , with drinks on the other, will greet you on most occasions you visit. Aside from that, theres a chef selects type menu, when with a small group of close friends, could prove very useful. Theres a mini boutique bottle shop behind the main dining area, say for instance, you were thinking about a good wine gift for a friend. Or any excuse for a good wine really. Get your coffee buzz on, early in the morning, or arrive when you feel. Theres not barriers to service periods, and shift closures, this venue is all day dining, in every sense of the word. You have 15 hours in a day, to experience Gemini. Thats what, perhaps in time, our culture should become. No more sleepy old fashioned city where nothings open after 8:30pm, and on many occasions, much earlier. Hopefully Gemini is not only ahead of the times, but a trend setter in operating hours that are not incredibly restrictive. Wine, oysters, and other treats await, at the time of day you feel like it. The only question is, when will you go?

5 /5 Alex Pestell: This place is fantastic. We’ve done coffee and brunch, glass of wine in the afternoon, and cocktails in the evening. Every time we come it is great. Particular favourite is the Old fashioned. Music and staff create the atmosphere. Sporadic events also look great - looking forward to the vermouth market in March. Will probably be here once a week.
