3 /5 Kia Yang: Morris and Heath – Hoppers Crossing
A fantastic local brunch spot with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The café has a modern yet cozy feel, perfect for a slow morning or casual catch-up. While we had to give our outdoor table a quick wipe and tidy before sitting down, everything else about the experience was spot on.
The food was generous and full of flavour. I ordered the mushroom on toast — a beautiful mix of pan-fried mushrooms cooked in truffle oil and thyme butter, served with chimichurri, a perfectly poached egg, and creamy goat cheese on multigrain toast. Every bite was rich, earthy, and well-balanced. My partner went for the massive chicken burger — crispy southern fried chicken paired with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, slaw, and a tasty spicy burger sauce, all on a fresh seeded bun with a side of crunchy fries. It was hearty, satisfying, and definitely lived up to its name.
We finished with a flat white and a self-poured chai — both smooth and well-made. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot year-round, and the shared parking with nearby shops makes it convenient to visit.
Overall, Morris and Heath delivers excellent food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe — a great place to start your weekend or enjoy a casual brunch in Hoppers Crossing.
