1 /5 Hanaa Farag: I visited The Fish House Australian Seafood Co on Friday afternoon and was disappointed with the experience. Most of the staff appeared quite nervous, and there was an aggressive tone that made the interaction uncomfortable.
I ordered the trio tacos, chowder, and olive oil spaghetti for takeaway. Given the pricing, with each item costing $30 or more, I expected a much higher standard.
The spaghetti was overcooked, very oily, and tasted like it had been pre prepared. It lacked seasoning and flavour, and the seafood pieces were very small and shredded. The tacos were generally fresh, but the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. The chowder was thick and starchy, with little to no seafood flavour, as if thickened heavily without depth of taste.
Overall, the food did not match the price point, and the quality and flavour were disappointing. I’m disappointed by this response. It is unprofessional and personal, and it avoids addressing the actual feedback about the food and service.
I was not rude. Two of your staff members apologised to me twice during my visit, which clearly indicates there were issues acknowledged at the time. I spoke up because I was unhappy with the quality of the food I received, which is a valid customer experience and the purpose of a review.
Attacking my history of reviews and using derogatory language does not change what I experienced during my visit, nor does it reflect well on your business. Reviews are meant to provide honest feedback, whether positive or negative.
I stand by my comments about the food and service on that day. I would have preferred a professional response addressing the concerns raised rather than personal insults.
