1 /5 Linton ācoolhandlintā: Went here last year for a wax treatment;
Mens Full Front, Full Back & Shoulders, Full Legs and Full Arms - thinking this should just about cover it all, for my Holiday in the Sun.
The wax person was literally packing up to finish when I questioned the areas she had so obviously NOT done - all around the swimmers I was wearing & which I told her I intended to take with we on holiday.
Oh didnāt you know? - you have to $$$ EXTRA on top of all that - for the Bikini Line! - which apparently starts 2 inches above and below my swimmers - being swim briefs.
Ok I know I was new to full waxing - generally its just Front and Back I do & normally just clipper the legs - but that just sounded stupid to me - but who on earth would want to parade around a pool in a fabulous Resort, being all waxed and shinny tanned - but with bushy hair pouring out 2ā above and below their swimwear?
ā¦and the sad thing was, she was about to let me walk out of there like that?
Not very professional, in my opinion.
At that time, I had also purchased a Spray Tan - after all, who wants to look ghostly on the first day at the pool? - and I was promptly upsold to a ābuy 2 & get one freeā tan package - ok sounds good - as long as itās not done by the same waxing person.
I had two tans prior to the holiday and forgot about the 3rd - the get 1 free tan - the only reason I purchased the second tan.
Anyway - this is the time of year I travel, so I called to book-in my treatments again and queried the remaining tan from last year.
I was politely told NO - It has expired.
Itās a spray tan. How does it expire? I ask.
BBF apparently offer 1or 2yr options on tanning packages and mine had expired.
I stated that there was never any mention about 1-2yr options when I made the purchase.
BBF simply would not honour the tan.
(Here I am now thinking, that maybe the smart thing for this BBF person to have said, should have been - unfortunately your tan looks to have expired, HOWEVER, if you are now looking at purchasing similar waxing and tanning packages as last time ($$$$$$$) - we would be happy to HONOUR it).
But No.
I politely advised that I would take my business elsewhere.
Not very clever BBF - The idea is to make money - not lose it.
** Further to the āno apologyā response from BBF.
I actually sat down with YOU in CONSULTATION - in YOUR salon.
We went over the services I selected - at NO time during that consultation, did you advise me, that of all the services I was thinking of having done, plus the fact that you knew I was heading o/s to tropical island - did you advise that it did not incl Brazilian. (Bikini line really) No advise of the full body service which apparently incl Brazilian.
To my understanding - the area ABOVE and BELOW my regular swim briefs - DO NOT form part of the genitalia.
I had NOT been on your website prior, to view what services you provide for men - I specifically came into your Salon and sat down with YOU to discuss my needs directly.
It appears to me that YOU failed to advise me, that BBF consider parts of the leg and torso outside the regular swimwear line, as genitalia and therefore, donāt include it in the FULL LEG service.
BBF offer a XXXX Brazilian mens service, so I have no comment on your mentioning staff not wanting to go near mens genitalia.
I am still unaware of the difference between a bikini line and a brazilian? Is the Brazilian inside the swim wear line? Thatās not what I wanted or received - but I feel like thats what I paid extra for.
You donāt get to blame me for the services I selected - when the services I selected, were done with direct consultation with YOU.
If your therapist is only capable of doing āonlyā what you booked her & without any ability to ensure that I was fully aware that I was going to walk out of there with a bushy swimwear line - then itās shame on you both, for that service-fail.
(Hint Hint - This is where you get another chance to apologise).
Itās also called āCustomer Serviceā.
