1 /5 Maddie S: Went in for an acrylic refill and felt really pressured by staff into getting SNS/gel, I politely said no I just need an acrylic refill and was told that it’s unnatural looking, and makes the store smell. The staff member took all my acrylics off which I then reminded her I needed a refill. She ended up agreeing to do the acrylics which turned out pretty average (see photo), I’d asked for them to be filed down shorter which they weren’t, I left with one nail shorter than the others and all filed very wonky. I left the store thinking they weren’t ’too bad’ but after looking at them again I had to come home and l re-filed them myself. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend!
EDIT- editing my review as the owner has responded and clearly edited her response. This is an honest review, I would never slander a business or waste my time to write a false review. This is my honest opinion, you can see from the picture the nails are all different lengths (this was before I filed myself).
Your entire response is a complete lie! There was absolutely no need to do a “clean” to avoid a “fungal” infection. None of this was mentioned at the time. There was nothing even remotely ‘fungal’ about my nails. You removed the acrylics because you were pressuring a SNS/Gel service that I did not ask for, then after I mentioned multiple times I did not want the service you had to back track and put them all back on again.
I did not call or return to have them fixed because I had a terrible experience and didn’t want to return to your salon, which judging by the way you respond to your customer reviews was the right choice.
I will never be back and hope this review helps others to avoid this salon at all costs!
