1 /5 G D: I have never had to write a review like this before but in this case I need to warn others about this salon so that you can save yourself from having this happen to you.
I was gifted a $403 gift card for a balayage, treatment, cut & blowwave (this was discussed upon purchase to cover all these services) and this is the result I’ve walked out with, un-blended and patchy, they then proceeded to charge me an additional $115 on top of the $403 for the treatment (which should’ve been included in the remaining balance of the $403) and “extra bleach” they apparently used that I was not made aware of during the appointment or even asked if I am okay with them doing as it is an additional cost that I did not approve.
Once in the chair I decided I did not need a haircut and told the stylist this but yet at checkout time I was still charged for it (this was already paid for/covered in the gift card balance so I should have the haircut cost as a remaining balance on the gift card, which would have covered any extras), when I questioned why I was being charged for the haircut I never got I was told “haircut was not included in the gift card” although when I called to book I was booked in for colour and cut (again no mention then of cut not being covered in gift card cost), so it was definitely included, and when my partner purchased the gift card he was told on the phone AND confirmed in person that the cut was included. Take a look for yourself at this $518 colour job, no cut, no special styling, $518 colour that looks like it was done by a home DIY job. So disappointed that anyone could happily let someone walk out of their salon with this result, let alone strategically over charge them for it.
I then called as I was so unhappy with the result and they got me to come back to fix it, the stylist “fixed” only the top layer of un-blended colour and left the whole underneath completely botched still, and they think that is a reasonable resolution? Bear in mind the last two pictures are after it was “fixed” Would either of you, Maddie or Hailey, be happy if this was on your head?
My attempt to get any form of refund for the service I did not receive/already paid for was completely denied and there was no responsibility taken or empathy for how horribly this turned out, now I have to go to another salon to get this $518 mess fixed.
Bare in mind there is only two staff who work at this salon, including the owner, so they were both fully aware of what my partner paid for me to get done, what I booked in for and what I actually received. And they’re very aware that they have knowingly overcharged me for services I didn’t get/ones that were already paid for, as the owner admitted on the phone she used the remaining value on my gift card for “their time” and still charged me for extra bleach, all of which I was never told throughout. So this isn’t a simple miscommunication or mistake.
My phone call to resolve was met with attitude from the owner Hailey and complete disregard for their wrong doing. The owner had the audacity to say she used the extra money on my gift card to cover “their time” it took to do the service, without telling me, and charged me extra without informing me and had the audacity to charge me an additional $115, such a scam salon. Unethical practices from the owner and an ego that will not allow her to resolve any customer issues as you can see from previous 1 star customer reviews.
Whatever you do please do not make the mistake of getting your hair done at this salon, truly so bad. Spend your money anywhere else but here.
