When I first walked into the salon, I brought with me a head of very long, very dark hair (level 5) that had been plagued with warm tones—and, truthfully, I came with a backpack full of years of emotional damage from past hair appointments. I came to Duvessa with high hopes and a long wishlist: low-maintenance color, no tiger stripes, natural tones, and absolutely no orange or warmth. From the moment I sat in her chair, Duvessa listened attentively, asking all the right questions and genuinely taking the time to understand my hair’s history and my vision. Her recommendations felt thoughtful and confident—and the result? beautifully natural highlights exceeding what I had envisioned. Duvessa did the most beautiful cut on my hair, which broke up what I initially had which was all the same length blunt cut. I’ve had full heads of foils take upwards of 8 hours before, so when Duvessa booked me in at 4:30 with the salon closing at 9, I was nervous she wouldn’t have enough time. But let me tell you: this woman is a wizard with foils. She completed an entire head in just 1 hour and 20 minutes—without cutting any corners! Every single section was flawless, proving just how skilled (and quick!) she is. Honestly, someone needs to nominate her for the Guinness World Records! Beyond her incredible talent, the vibe of the entire salon was unmatched. The stylists genuinely support each other, creating a warm, collaborative environment that feels more like a family than a workplace. The clients were laughing and joking with the team, and the positivity in the space was infectious. It’s rare to find a salon where the energy is as uplifting as the service itself. Duvessa not only transformed my hair but also healed my trust in stylists. I immediately booked my next appointment and can’t wait to come back.
