杨Jane nice park

Olaf Reger Nice local park with some exercise equipment. Football field markings, cricket pitch, basketball half court, toilets, great to learn to ride the bike
4 /5
Modasher Chaklader In the beginning didnt like the place much; as it feels a bit overcrowded. Especially the basketball court. But now I seem to start liking it. Must be the age.
4 /5
Dhanesh Nair Great park for walks play and of course Cricket!!!. Got nets with stumps and a good centre pitch. Perfect for intermediate cricket. Has restrooms and sufficient street parking... but starts early. Has kids play equipment to. Fun for all

Daithí Kilcourse This is a great area to take a bush walk or a hike. There were a lot of people trail running while we were here. There are many areas to park up and take different return routes to your starting point. You can start from Hornsby station and walk to the track. Although after some heavy rain the area isn’t the most pleasant to see. Rubbish is washed through the water. It is still enjoyable to go here and get away and forget where you are. Would recommend.
4 /5
Ritesh Mistry Cool trail, however there are various steep stretches, don’t attempt on a wet day
5 /5
Sean Nairn Nice spot to visit while on a Bushwalk but pay attention to the signs about not swimming here. The water is polluted and there are underwater hazards that have caused a number of drownings. Don’t even think about it no matter how good a swimmer you think you are. On a positive note, this is a tranquil spot with the only sounds coming from birds and cicadas. There is no water on this track so you’ll need to bring your own - there’s a tap in the park at the end of Rosemead Rd.
4 /5
Pouya Abt Nice little walk from end of Quarry rd in Dural. Takes 30-40 mins. Pay attention to the sign as you can’t swim due to the contamination in the water! Very lash and green along the river.
5 /5
Usher Nic (Tui) Large boulders worn by water into fantastic shapes. Climb on top to meditate or eat lunch. A sandy beach is minute or two downstream. Always cool in the heat. Sheltered from wind. Water quality is not good enough to swim but the water is clear even after rain. Plentiful ferns, flowers and birds. Few weeds. Very little rubbish.

Alison Stewart Australia Day 2025. Thank you Hornsby Council, for Sausage Sizzle and Coffee early on Australia Day! Great start to the day.
4 /5
Syd Rev Nice spacious park with a number of benches spread out under mature trees providing shades. Closer to the road, theres an area with roses, lavenders and other flowers. On weekend mornings, theres a group of people practising Chinese TaiChi and Swords by the aquatic centre.
5 /5
shweta Pore Best place for everyone.. Amazing motor bike track.. Walking track in the mountains full of greenery..
5 /5
Kane Lawson A great place maintained by the council. Always clean and a perfect place to meet others.
5 /5
Evan Fehlberg Lovely, grassed picnic areas with mix of shade and sun and beautiful sandstone paved walkways and retaining walls, rose gardens, BBQ and play areas adjacent to public pool.

Fred Anth Cruz Its okay. No toilet and smells like waste from the plant next to it.
4 /5
Shishir M J With regards to beauty of the place is 5 star. Since the place lacks toilets reduced a star. Its good place for kids to play and run around. The Waitara creeks stream makes the place even more beautiful. Tall trees around makes the place magnificent. Minutes away from Hornsby station. Great place for kids and short walks.
4 /5
Mark Pangilinan This place is great for kids who wants to play in playground. Great for those who are walking and playing with their dogs too.
5 /5
Kim Hollis Really beautiful. Blue gum walk was around 2 hours. We just did a bit of it. Lots of great shade under the trees for a hot sunny day. Took my dog who loved it.
5 /5
Syed Daniyal Haider Nice little place. Great for a quick photo if you need green backgrounds. There is a small waterway close by and a trial too. Please note dogs are allowed here so sometimes there will be a few in the evening.

Musleh Uddin Rishad I dont usually live near by, its just me and my friend sometime park my car on the road and have food. Thus google map wants me to review it. Its a park, whats there to review about?? Anyways, let me try.... it is small yes. Dont know whether it has toilet facility or not or may be a water fountain to drink water from, but if it does then big thumbs up. Mostly crowded with kids and their moms.
5 /5
Vicky Staas A very busy playground! Lots of different types of play equipment but no clear separation between those suitable for toddlers and those for bigger kids. My son got knocked over a couple of times by big kids flying around an in-ground merry-go-round, which was right next to some toddler play equipment. Its next to some high density housing so parking is limited, but the access road is a no through road, so safer than a main road. Play equipment is all in brand new condition. Lots of shade sails and low seating for parents to sit and supervise.
4 /5
Syd Rev Any bit of green space adds quality to a neighbourhood and I am thankful for that. This park has one grill, fenced kids play area, two covered picnic tables within the fenced area. Does get busy with kids and family when the weather is nice. Wish it had a few more benches and tables as well as a few exercise equipments aside from kids play area like many parks in Ryde Council do, so adults can enjoy the park more.
3 /5
Julia Medvedeva Cosy and quiet little local park with a fully fenced playground. The only issue is that the childrens playground lacks shading. Not sure what the Hornsby council was thinking when ordering this playground without any shading over the play equipment, given that the UV index in Sydney is getting above 3 pints from 9am till 4pm - this is October till April. So its of no use to families through half of the year.
4 /5
Jeremy Roberts A small park but good variety of equipment for young kids. Some of the ropes could do with being replaced - worn and tattered. Adjacent to a strange grass basketball area. Gets a good chunk of sunshine so nice to visit in winter, but would be stinking hot and unbearable in summer in the kids area.

Marcie B My great grandfather (maternal) bequeathed the land for this beautiful park to the people of Hornsby with the proviso that the trees never be cut down. I live interstate but try and visit every time I’m in Sydney.
5 /5
Clare Wong Cozy little garden with plenty of play equipment and a short bush walk.
5 /5
resocha C Great spot with a nice little walk around the park , but neglected by the council , benches, and kids playground in desperate need of an upgrade. It would be great if the council could add some gym equipment like in waitara oval. It would greatly benefit the community
3 /5
Matthew Dunn Small park, quite with flying fox.
5 /5
Kerry Woods I love this park and no, I dont want to see more things for kids to do in it. Not everything is designed expressly for children, sometimes a park just needs some trees, seats & a track rather than being filled with equipment to entertain the kiddies. There are several great parks in the Hornsby Shire designed just for children.

8.Holman Park

Address: 46 Northcote Rd, Hornsby NSW 2077

Imges Holman Park

(73) Reviews Holman Park:

L H Lupton Nice little one. The big problem is this place doesnt have a cover on top of the play instructure. The slides could be extremely hot in summer. Very dangerous for the little one. Parents need to be cautious.
3 /5
jette viethen "Boat park" is the perfect park for little kids. The play equipment has difficult as well as easy ways up, so that even small kids can climb up and slide down by themselves. Lots of lawn and a little bike track too, and plenty of natural shade, especially in the afternoon. Extra bonus: not as packed as Willow Park. And everyone loves the boat! Only thing missing is a toilet.
4 /5
Alex Leung Nice and quiet neighbourhood park, has different and clean play equipment and a bubbler, its big enough and small enough at the same time. No toilets but no worries.
4 /5
Julia Medvedeva Local playground with some equipment like a slide and swings, some grass and a kiddies bike loop. The rubber surface was recently updated by the council. Yet this playground lacks good shading, also it is right next to the busy Sherbrook road - so there is poor air quality especially on weekdays.
3 /5
Olga Krasinskaya Nice local park. Equipment is good for toddlers and preschoolers. Theres a small bike or scooter track and a water tap. But no shade, no toilet no bbq area.

Lidia Banicevic There are 2 parks very close to each other, Willo is ok but the Witara one is the best ! Loads of fun for the little ones and bigger kids.
5 /5
Stefan Pulpitel Good park, generally quite busy and more suited for older kids (4 or so). Only tricky part can be issues with parking, but if you are on foot its a good place to let the kids run free
4 /5
Leah Roberts Well shaded park with play equipment that suits under and over 5s- infant and kids swings multiple slippery dips, space to ride scooters etc. There are also picnic and BBQ facilities and plenty of shade. The park is wheelchair and pram accessible. I only give it 4 starts because there are no bathroom facilities within the park.
4 /5
Miki Clarke Finally a playground with baby swings in the shade! In fact it has lots of shade, is contained and even has toilets Just a shame about the mosquitoes which seem to be out even in the middle of the day :(
4 /5
reshma K C Quiet park with pigeons and cockatoos

Netty Netty. Was. Here. How can you not love Hornsby. Pleather of shopping and food. My oh my the food. Cheap Eats to High Ends. Too much to pick from.
5 /5
Casey Degamwala Unique water clock in Hornsby shopping complex, huge clock runs with force of water, unfortunately the hands of the clock were not working. However its a good place for shopping and dinning out with availability of cuisine from around the world, Malaysian, Chinese, Maxican and many others.
4 /5
Phuong To A magnificent water clock fountain! There are different coloured lights projected onto it at night, which makes it look pretty. The organ pipes are supposed to go off every hour but we did not hear anything. There are four plaques placed beside on either side of the fountain with interesting facts about the history of the fountain.
5 /5
Joydip Sinha The Hornsby Water Clock, titled Man, Time and the Environment is a piece of kinetic sculpture, a decorative fountain and a functional clock in the Florence Street pedestrian mall in Hornsby. The sculpture is approximately 8 metres (26 ft) tall and weighs 20 tonnes (22 short tons). Located right in front of Westfield Hornsby.
