Chris Wyatt You enter this park through an unassuming arch in a high sandstone wall – it’s a little like a secret garden! Then you see the large flat lawn and beyond that the wonderful panoramic views of freshwater beach, Freshwater headland and Curl Curl beach beyond that. It has picnic tables and a fine planting of attractive flowering bushes which make it the perfect spot for an informal picnic with friends.

Sophie G A small reserve with lovely views. Faces north so you won’t get the sunset in the evening. Trees are a little high these days which means if you’re on a picnic rug the view is not as good. Plenty of friendly locals visit the park with their dogs.
