J Fong It is one of the best urban sanctuaries that is pretty much an open secret of Sydney. I have been here a few times now and love it every time I come here. Some key highlights & tips: - It is within walking distance from Milsons Point Train station or Milsons Point Wharf by ferry through Lavender Bay. It is possible to get here by car, but street parking may be limited. - I highly recommend wearing a good pair of walking shoes. While it is not a difficult hike in the garden or to & from public transport, a comfy pair of shoes will make the trip here more enjoyable. - Every season provides a different experience when visiting the garden. There are flowering plants that flower at different times of the year. Also, there are sculptures in the garden. - The garden has multiple entrances. Look out for the various entry points. - It has never been crowded for the times I have visited. Though, at times, you may bump into couples doing wedding shoots or hiring a section of the garden for a garden wedding. - There are seats along the walkways and at the bottom of the garden, tables & seats as well. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnic rugs. I have also seen other visitors bring a book to read or have lunch in the garden. - As the garden has slopes and stairs to access different parts of the garden, it is not wheelchair or pram friendly. - A visit here can span between half hour to 2 hours (depending on how you like to spend your time here). - From the top of the garden and parts of the walkways, it has one of the best views of the Harbour Bridge. From what I have read, this garden is maintained by volunteers, and they are truly doing an amazing job. I highly recommend visiting this amazing, not so secret garden.

William Ma This beautiful garden feels more like a forest to me. Its also a lot bigger than I thought with a lot of uphill and downhill. It could be a fun maze for kids as it consists of a lot of different paths. There are also tables and chairs for picnics and lunch. There are multiple entrances, so you cant miss it.

Kia Kalantari A hidden gem!!! Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden offers an amazingly beautiful place to chill out and enjoy the beauty of the nature in the heart of the Sydney. It also offers incredible views over harbour bridge. Easy access via public transport and plenty of car park spots in the surrounding area. Highly recommended!!!

Diana Waines Just around the corner from the bustling crowds of Luna Park is this peaceful bay area. It has the best views of the CBD & Harbour Bridge with a small, shady grassy area in which to sit & enjoy the tranquillity of the harbour

Lasaration With the waves nearby I thought it would be excellent to strum my seafoam green Fender stratocaster along with the small waves crashing on the tiny beach. I wasnt wrong! On one of the edges of Sydney Harbour you will find small beaches tucked away. This one is perfect for dogs to take a dip in. The view of the bridge. Brilliant!

Kate Branch Such a beautiful spot. Take a nice walk on the promenade and look out for the cute little characters by famous Australian illustrators like May Gibbs. You’ll see the Gumnut babies, the Banksia man and many more. Make sure you finish off on the wharf overlooking the beautiful Bay.

One of the best and memorable place for me.

Sean Nairn Watt Park is only a short walk from the North Sydney CBD and Milsons Point station but feels like it’s a million miles from civilisation. Lots of green space and places to sit - grab a coffee and walk down for some quiet relaxation. You can then walk back via Lavender Bay foreshore walk / boardwalk to transport options.

Michael Walz This park is lovely, a nice green hideaway. The park has a bubbler and playground, as well as a few benches. I take my dog there to throw the ball and he loves it If you are going in the summer months, bring some mosquito repellent as the mozzies can be pretty bad!

Reza Baz Beautiful park to relax enjoy the views of the harbour & be surrounded by nature & large trees great for a picnic as this park is secluded, there is a great deal of mosquitos here due to damp grass & it being an enclosed area backed by rocky cliff walls. However we couldn’t find public toilets here had to walk down to Luna park to use a rest room as the public toilets on the foreshore walk are locked..
