I’ve tried at least two other gyms in North Sydney with similar functional training, and none of them came close to the results I’ve had here. At BBB I’ve put on more muscle, gained real physical skills, and unlocked more advanced gymnastics – I can do muscle ups after about a year of training here and I think that’s pretty amazing!
The coaches are next level – super knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely good people.
Special shout-out to Dave Blair (DB), who’s been my PT since the beginning. He actually pays attention to form, tweaks the programming to suit my goals, and pushes me in the right way (not just “go harder” for the sake of it).
The gym itself is very structured and organised. Communication is tip top – I always know what’s happening: activities, events, schedule changes, anything. I’m never surprised by BBB. And something I really respect: they don’t cancel classes just because there aren’t enough people. I’ve seen classes go ahead with just 1 person, and the effort and attention from the coach is still 100%.
For context, I had never done CrossFit before joining BBB, and they’ve managed to teach me all of this safely from scratch while keeping it fun and motivating. No injuries!
