1 /5 Jess: I am not really one to come to google reviews but this is something I felt like I needed to share during a recent visit to a gym that I would hate for any other female to have to go through an experience as such.
I had a really uncomfortable experience during my very first visit to crunch Mortdale. I was already a bit nervous trying out a new crunch as I normally train at others, but as I walked in, I overheard a male staff member making inappropriate comments about her body and appearance to an another female staff member at the front desk. She looked extremely uncomfortable from what I saw seemed seem like she didn’t want to be there. I was not able to catch the staff members name although he had a darker complexion with his hair tied up.
It was awkward and honestly pretty disturbing to hear. Then, as I was leaving, I overheard the same staff member making a comment about me, saying something about my body. That completely crossed the line and made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe. No one should have to feel that way when they’re just trying to work out. Gyms should be a place where everyone especially women can feel safe and respected. This experience really shook my confidence in coming back and let alone training at any other gym.
