1 /5 Mursal Rahimi: Two days ago, I emailed George Sten & Co. The next day, I received a call from Angus Bennett to book an appointment. I asked if it could be the following day, and he offered me 3 PM and asked me to pay $330 upfront.
He briefly asked what the issue was, but when I started explaining, he cut me off and said he was too busy and we’d talk during the appointment. The next day, he arrived late. When I began telling him my issue, he said, “I can’t help you, I’m a defence lawyer,”and I have to go Im very busy.
He acted like he didn’t know what the matter was.
I was very emotional and desperate for legal help. I asked for any advice or referral, and he just wrote “Law Society of NSW” on a paper and said, “Ask them.” The meeting lasted barely 5 minutes.
I felt disrespected, unsupported, and hopeless. On the same day, another lawyer I contacted listened to me kindly, explained things clearly, and even though he couldn’t help, he gave me good guidance—without even charging me.Unfortunately, I would not
recommend this service based on how I was treated.
