1 /5 fouad barhoum: The worst lender in Australia – stay away!led by very very Nasty Nasty Nasty people Volkswagen Financial Services is by far the most dishonest and heartless lender I have ever dealt with. They rip you off from the start – hiding costs, fees, and charging extremely high interest. When something goes wrong, instead of helping their customers, they attack you straight away with legal action and threats, giving you barely any time or proper notification. They use aggressive lawyers who act in bad faith, trying to bankrupt you, garnish your bank accounts, and even obtain court judgments without ever properly notifying you. Their approach is ruthless and unfair, designed to pressure and intimidate people instead of resolving issues. Their customer service is zero – no compassion, no understanding, no respect for the stress they cause. They push customers into more debt and pressure, and when you try to work with them, they make things worse. They hide behind being tied to government bodies, which is why they get away with this kind of conduct. This company has no integrity, no heart, and no accountability. I would not recommend them to anyone. Do not trust them, do not do business with them. There is a reason they have such a low rating – because they truly are the worst company to deal with in Australia.

1 /5 Dalia Peterson: Google Review for Volkswagen Financial Services Australia Every person we spoke to gave us a different version of the process - no consistency, no accountability, and absolutely no urgency. Their internal systems are disjointed, and customer service is incredibly frustrating. No one seems to know what the actual process is, and no two staff members give the same answer. We made our final loan payment on 9 May 2025. When we followed up on 15 May, we were told they couldn’t locate the funds. After pushing further, the payment was “found” and backdated to 14 May - no explanation and no apology. From there, we were told we’d have to wait seven days from that backdated “receipt” before a closure letter could even be generated. We were also told that unless we specifically called to request the letter be emailed (not posted), they’d just mail it - possibly taking weeks to arrive. We were reassured by multiple staff that the closure letter would be issued and emailed as a priority on 21 May. That didn’t happen either. It took multiple follow-ups, escalation, and us calling again the next day before the letter was finally emailed. To be clear: we did eventually receive the closure letter, but only after 12 days, numerous calls, and constantly being given conflicting information. After fully repaying a $75,000 loan (from 100,000 + for R Line Touareg, this is not the level of service anyone should expect. If youre considering financing through VWFS - don’t. There are lenders who actually communicate clearly, take accountability, and respect your time. VWFS is not one of them.

1 /5 Michael Thorne-Stones: We are absolutely appalled by the way we have been treated by VW Finance the past year. They have no commutation skills, they don’t listen, no empathy and they are extremely arrogant and rude at the best of times. Because of these so called professionals we now have other issues to deal with that could have all been avoided if they actually took the time to discuss things with their long term customers. Instead of treating them like a piece of dirt. I am utterly disgusted in their approach and will not ever return my business to this financial institution. I do not recommend VW finance at all. They should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their clients. Stay away and go elsewhere.

5 /5 christian khokaz: I wanted to extend my appreciation at vwfs recoveries on being extremely patient and understanding on my matter. They helped me on finalising my situation. There was times where I didn’t honour my end of the deal and took longer than agreed. They were patient and now it’s all been finalised. Thank you
