1 /5 Ellie Bee: Its taken me a couple of days to write this review, as I was quite upset and traumatised about almost having to cut off my healthy super long hair after getting it styled here for my 30th birthday. I have very long hair with mild layers, and I have had my hair curled a few times professionally with the same length of hair without issue. As nice as the young apprentice who curled my hair was, not only did the curls drop immediately, but my hair became so frizzy and the worst part, ended up SEVERELY MATTED after a few hours. I ended my birthday celebrations panicking, crying and spending hours in the bathroom trying to undo the tangled clumps of hair a few strands at a time with gobs of deep conditioner. Two and a half hours later with aching arms, I finally managed to untangle everything, but also lost so much hair in the process (picture attached was about 80% of total loss). I was left traumatised and so angry. I honestly dont know whether it was the products used, or the manner in which it was styled. But its obvious that there was little to no knowledge at all in how to care for this type of hair. One example was that not only did I state, but she saw with her own eyes the natural condition of my hair, which was long and straight. Yet she still blow dried it straight with lots of pulling, heat (which burnt my skin two times) and tension, then went in with a curler when just a quick dry with the hair dryer was needed. So much pulling and two different intense heat tools. Maybe next time dont push the apprentice onto anyone without a proper assessment of the hair type. I will never step foot in this place ever again.
