R C Favourite walking trail on the west side. Beautiful scenery amongst the refreshing river with outdoor gym equipment and playgrounds around each corner. Great place for friends, family and time to yourself. Go to the boathouse for nice coffee

Riverside Park

Gopichand Bommineni Amazing park with great facilities. I havent seen a park like this in Melbourne before. I especially liked the little bookshelf here. As a cricket fan, I had the chance to read about Steve Waugh and his World Cup moments.

The Watcher

Iva Izman Looking for a mindful place close to home? The Watcher is in Keilor next to Essendon. This was my go-to spot in lockdown 2021 as it was within my 10km travel radius. I came here so many times alone to workout, chill or brought the family for a quiet time enjoying the view. You cant swim but you can bring scooters to scoot along the boardwalk. Not suitable with toddlers unless you constantly hold their hand. There area picnic tables around, plush grass to sit and picnic and theres also 2 BBQs there. No toilets or facilities. Just a simple mindful miniature lake to chill ❤️ Its tucked within a residential area!

Hiromi On my way home from work, I stopped by Queens Park for the first time the other day. The weather was great, perfect for a walk. I was also soothed by the beautiful nature and the cute birds. Highly recommended.

Aircraft Viewing Area

Luodi Best place to view airplanes landing in Melbourne. A little kiosk with coffee, tea and kebabs is on site for a little refreshment. Surprised to see some outdoor seating as well! All told a great spot. I might bring some camp chairs next time.

Airways Museum

Henry O A wonderful place full of Air Traffic Control history, and everything is interactable, also many operaterable ATC Simulators. The entry is free and there is also free magazines and coffee. Friendly staff and a huge collection of instruments. Great experience there and came out with a bunch of aviation magazines. I would recommended to anybody intrested in aviation. 10/10
