Warriewood Wetlands - Sydney (NSW)

5 /5 Rock Merjudio: Good for bird spotting. The wetlands has walkways and you can spot ducks and swamphens. Highlight for me was getting to see the large colony of grey-headed flying fox and seeing two new birds in the wild - the bell miner and Royal Spoonbill.

5 /5 Imogen Warren: This is a fantastic piece of nature in such an urban setting. Despite recent floods, we were able to walk throughout the area. The tracks and boardwalks are great and the wildlife wonderful. This is a wonderful resource for the community and visitors.

4 /5 Alice: Quiet, easy walking track with lots of wild ducks and turkeys roaming around. We did encounter lots of flying bugs when we first entered but that’s not surprising since it’s swampy and wet. There weren’t many bugs once you head in more. Unfortunately the area close to the shopping plaza had lots of littering, and wild ducks eating from the rubbish. For the most part, it was a lovely place to walk through.

4 /5 Marcelle Armstrong: Took an impromptu walk in this lovely wetlands area. The boardwalk and path are well maintained and suitable for all ages and abilities. Lots of birdlife, and spotted many waterdragons. Short a star because of some litter and dumping along the path, but otherwise a delightful spot for some exercise and peace. No dogs/cats allowed.

5 /5 Srinath Holla: Visited this place for the first time today. It has excellent trails for both walking and biking. Lots of birds around.
