Siobhan Anderson I have been going to Taaryn for a couple of years now and would not trust anyone else with my nails! She always does a wonderful job whether it is a plain colour or elaborate art. I get so many compliments on her nail art, and could not be happier with how she brings my vague ideas to life. Taaryn is a highly recommended and skilled artist, I’ll be a long term client for sure.

Toni Hayes Ive been lucky enough to be going to Taaryns beautiful salon space for 10 months now. Her space is always welcoming, calming and exceptionally maintained.The quality of her materials are exceptional, and wether you want a simple one colour set of nails, or an intricate hand painted design, you will walk out with a beautiful set of nails that make you feel absolutely amazing. I couldnt recommend Black Opal Nails enough.

Palak Kamboj Literally the best nail tech. I tried so many places in the area but wasn’t really having the justice done to my nails. Taaryn’s work is just par excellence. Her attention to detail, and patience in prepping time is literally commendable. She never says no to anything I come up with. Super hard working and a very sweet human being. Love her work!

Tasha Bourne Always amazing nails and helps me settle on a fun design. Works at times that are convenient to me. My nails have never felt better and couldn’t be happier.

Leang Soth Had a wonderful experience at Kute Nails. The ladies were lovely and helpful. I was struggling to find the right red shade for my nails, and all 3 ladies did not hesitate to offer assistance and recommendations! I would highly recommend this nail salon, and will definitely be back.

I was a bit worried about getting an appointment just before Christmas and the quality of work as I know long acrylic nails aren’t common in australia and can be tricky, but I was able to get a walk in spot and the ladies did an amazing job! Great skills and perfect nails! Really happy and impressed with the result!

Adriana Orsetti Have been using Mels products since I started nail tech training when I was 15. Im now 26 and still adore Colour Me Pretty gel polishes. They are hands down the best brand I have ever used. Just when I think Mel couldnt get any better, she sends me 2 free replacement brushes in my order! I will honestly never get my gel polishes else where!

Keeley Fishlock Worst nails I have had in a very long time. Booked an appointment and then waited 40 minutes just to have two people rush my nails. Didnt get what I wanted to get because my nails were so badly done. They feel awful and Im so sad about it. Just so disappointed because this place use to be amazing

geneclab Got my nails done here the other day, worst nails I’ve ever gotten was just rushed by 2 people and one the fake nails only covers 3 quarters of my nail (didn’t notice till I left) had to tell her to reshape a few times as she kept leaving chips in my nails. And there’s a piece of fluff stuck in the nails, such a shame looked like such a good place also the design was no where near close to what I wanted! ☹️

Jasmine Sucanji UPDATED REVIEW!! 17/10/2023 Got my nails “fixed” yesterday and today more nails are peeling. I got my nails done 5 days ago! horrible service and product. Came in to get my nails done Thursday afternoon, my gel peeled the same day. And my acrylics were not refilled properly and my tips chipped. Was told to come back Monday. Came in and it took them 1 hour and 15 minutes to do gel on 2 nails. Didn’t match the colour correctly, and it’s all bubbly they did a very poor job, especially for a returning customer which had to come back in because of their bad work. I have attached photos of my nails that are fine, and my two thumbs which they apparently “ fixed”. Won’t be coming back.

Emily Smith Had services off two lovely ladies today. Both were so accommodating easy to talk to and both did an amazing job. I usually do my nail’s myself so I can be picky but they did a great job both girls had amazing personalities and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Was just the relaxing experience I needed i will definitely be back ;)

Paria NOT RECOMMENDED Don’t waste your money, time, or peace of mind here. The staff were rude and unprofessional. In the middle of the service, they asked me to pay!! something they didn’t do with the customers before me. I felt disrespected and unfairly treated, and on top of that, the quality of their work was disappointing.

Very unimpressed with the service I received today 29/04/2025 I got a mani and pedi paid cash $80 most definitely the worst nail salon I have been to in pakenham! And I have been to a lot.. cut my finger yet still couldn’t provide a good manicure.! As a full time and hard working mother I find these times especially difficult to do due to the cost as well as finding the time. I am so unimpressed and very very disappointed that my finger was cut and there was no apology or discount offered!! I had the older lady also felt as if she had rushed through my pedi and mani!

A female artist did my toe nails (sheilac), didn’t do a good job, then another female artist fixed it after I requested to re-do, second time good. A male nail artist did sns on finger nails, he was very rude, did not clean nails after the process, I was feeling very uncomfortable as sns dust stuck inside the nails, had to request many times to get them properly cleaned, when I asked him to clean, he said that I should not do sns again, very rude customer service by him. Will never go there again.

Sakshi Dhawan I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this salon. The staff, especially the male artist, were very unprofessional and rude. I went in to get my nails fixed, but after he removed my previous nails, he informed me that they didnt have the same color I wanted. When I asked him to help me choose another color, he became aggressive and shouted at me in a very disrespectful manner. His behavior was completely inappropriate, and I left the salon with an unfinished nail service. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Kay Jay Disgusting!! Terrible service. Went for a pedi, she told me to take a seat at the pedi station. Sat there for a good 40mins before anything started then walked out 1hr 1/2 later. Owner needs to explain how long it will be before you get worked on. I know I couldve said something whilst waiting but I wanted to see if she actually cared about me sitting for so long, now I know the owner just wants your money no matter how long they take. RUDE, DISGUSTING,CARELESS OWNER!! DONT GO HERE!!

Natasha Peiris UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY BAD SERVICE I was at this store this morning, i showed them a picture very simple french SNS the only difference was it was a glitter, the quality of the work was really bad. I told the lady over 3 times that the tip was out but she acted as if it was not a big deal. Charged me $60 for the nails I totally understand it would cost that but they never worry about the quality of the work for the amount they charge. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY i would never recommend this place. The regular place i visit was shut and i had to get my nails done so i popped in I totally regret!! Once i said to the lady that i was not happy didn’t bother fixing it either!!

aj Horrible! Went here yesterday with my grandmother, she got French tips which were super thick, the paint was all over her fingers too. I just got a manicure with painted nails, made my fingers bleed and the way they did the nails were all ove r the place, super clumpy and they missed so many spots!! As soon as I got home I took the polish off.

Tahnee Cornelis didn’t have time to go to my regular nail lady, so came in here to have two nails touched up. I’m sure you could tell which acrylics they’ve done, I look like a tafe apprentice’s practice set. Wouldn’t waste my money, find anywhere else!

Sasha Rechichi Had my hair done yesterday &it was the worst experience ever. I had visited the day before & discussed the colour. The lady went over the colour selection 3 times. The problem started when walk ins came in & was left with bleach longer than it should have been in. Once washed out my hair had turned yellow & orange. The hairdresser tried to say what a nice colour it was I pointed out that firstly the colour is not what l chose & my hair is yellow orange and patchy. They tried to fix it but made it worse. I was in the salon for 4hours. The focus in this salon is not about the client but about the money. The lady said her boss was pushing her to look after the walking simply for the money. Rude & disgusting attitude. Tried to offer me free products. I was crying as l had waited so long to have my hair done professionally. The hairdresser said she had to go as she has family waiting. So do l. This salon needs to be closed down. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE. If l could have given a zero star rating l would have.
